Honestly, including Polyphemus clinging to his father is brilliant Imagine one day you wake up and find out your youngest child had his home broken into, his friend/emotional support sheep murdered, drugged when he got rightfully upset, and then got mutilated which rendered him blind with no hope of seeing again, and then the dude who did it says “that was me being merciful btw here’s my ip address,” …yeah there’s no way I could forgive that dude no matter how many years it’s been
Poseidon is fiercely protective of his children, and the fact ody pissed off the sea god when his only means of traveling home was boat was the dumbest thing ever done by the smartest man in greece
I always assumed that Poseidon’s thing with his son was more of a pride thing like “oh that’s *my* son, and you hurt him,” but this was more of a “that’s my *son* and you hurt him.” I’m obsessed.
He was prayed to directly by his son - not only will he be holding a grudge but he’s practically bound to fulfill Polyphemus’ call to waylay Odysseus and keep him from home.
I figured it was the shame and stigma attached to disability during this time period hence the other cyclopedes not giving a care when "nobody" caused the injury. He would, likely, live a more abused, neglected life and may find it hard to fend for himself now that he is blinded, leaving him in a position that would have quite literally been better off dead. Odysseus crippled a person and effectively ensured their slow withering demise.
One of my headcanons is that Poseidon went after Odysseus because Polyphemus (as well as the other children of Poseidon) were simply extensions of Poseidon, so attacking him was a slight on Poseidon's ego. But this is a good take.
@@denniszaychik8625 I've seen plenty of accurate tellings of Poseidon's mythology that range from him adoring his kids to being a bit more detached. Out of many of the gods/goddesses, it's generally accepted that Poseidon is on the more caring side for his progeny, monster or otherwise.

I love how in Neal’s animatics there’s always a little more family aspect than in the typical animatics. Like in God Games when Athena hugs Zeus as her father, and here when Poseidon ACTUALLY CARES about Polyphemus like in the Ruthlessness animatic. Literally my favorite thing it makes everything 10x better. 🩷🩷🩷
I literally flipping gasped when I say Polyphemus crying and hugging his father, and Poseidon being so sad and actually caring about his son.. DON'T TALK TO ME I AM NOT FINE
I love that the first time you drew Poseidon smiling was when thought he finally killed Odysseus. It really makes it seem like he had been searching and attacking Odysseus the whole journey, only resting when he believes he killed Odysseus. I love that you made Poseidon actually care about Polyphemus, it really adds so much depth to the character.
Yep, it doesn't even look like a sadistic smile of pleasure so much as a relief like saying "this is finally over, it's taken me 10 long years, but I've avenged my son's mutilation once and for all", I love that this Poseidon really cared about his son and he wasn't having fun hunting Odysseus, he was just angry like any father would be seeing his son in pain. Ten years later some of that anger was dying out and he even seems to consider letting Odysseus go for a moment when he asks him if he was not tired, but the memory of his son's cries makes him go back to being ruthless, even if he was actually more tired than angry now, because he could not be merciful unlike Odysseus... or so he thinks.
@MatthewDavies-ys4zp It is, but that's part of the tragedy, Poseidon had probably already managed to do enough damage to Odysseus to even the score between them, but he still can't let him go because it's his philosophy to be ruthless in order to bring mercy upon himself, and he said he wouldn't stop until he made Odysseus bleed and saw him drown for what he did to his son... so he can't back out now even if he wanted to, and that ends up being his downfall in this fight.
I honestly don't like the version that he cares about his son and wants to avenge him. It is known that Poseidon is a vengeful god and that in order to maintain his power he used the excuse of Polyphemus' blindness to go against Odysseus, not because he actually cared about him, but because it is as if he had offended his pride, even in Ruthlessness we can understand this when he says: "I mean you totally could have avoided all this had you just killed my son." So yeah, every Greek god is not the best of fathers and Poseidon is a selfish bastard.
@@droik_dub. Poseidon is however famous for being one of the most caring father Gods for his children, in the Odyssey he screws Odysseus for hurting his son specifically, he also has myths of wanting to avenge wrongdoings committed against his other children (like with Halirrothius), help them in their adventures (Bellerophon) or even grant them wishes (Theseus). Characterizing him as a vengeful father is absolutely accurate with Greek mythology, the Gods after all were not seen as heartless monsters by the Ancient Greeks but as higher powers that had to be respected in order to gain their favor and otherwise their disfavor. Also in Ruthlessness he was just saying that to torment Odysseus by letting him know that this was happening to him because of his own fault, because of his "mercy" and his pride, he makes it very clear that he cares for Polyfermus even so: "… And now it is finally time to say goodbye, today you die, unless, of course, you apologize, for my son's pain and all his cries."
Right? Ever since I saw Zeus' final form in Neal's God Games, Ive been dying to see Poseidon's and it did not disappoint. Not what I expected but faaaaar from disappointing, it's so good.
Poseidon being underwater WITH Odysseus instead of hovering above sea level makes SO much sense and was a treat to see, as was the entirety of this animatic. Thank you so much! 💙
@@nealillustrator and Personal it was. I LOVE that touch!!! It absolutely fits!! (I’ve said this a few times before lol 😆 but your Poseidon feels VERY much like a dad pissed about his son rather than simply a disgruntled or angered God -he is that of course but he’s not JUST that- he wants Vengeance for his son) Poseidon getting his hands dirty for his son and being underwater with Ody, revealing in his vengeance is SO fitting and I love it SO MUCH!!! (A lot more than him simply trying to drown Ody but still being on the surface) Thank you for that awesome Dad Poseidon!!!!
If I had a nickel for every EPIC animatic I saw where Poseidon was a terrifying monster horse, I’d have two nickels. Which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it happened twice. Jokes aside, that horse is definitely my favorite part of this! It’s just the right amount of freaky, and gives off _immaculate_ “horror from the depths” vibes!
Oh! There's history with... Poseidon being PORTRAYED as a horse in old Mythos. Just like root stories of him being Persophone's Dad and both him and Demeter doing... that as horses... 😅😅😅
I love how you made Poseidon also look a bit older/tired and the scene with him grabbing the necklace and hugging Polyphemus is so sweet!! Make sure to get enough rest!!
Posidon holding Polyphemus is such a great detail. A lot of other animatics give thd impression that this grudge is purely a pride thing which works well and supported by the lyrics, but seeing Poseidon as a caring father is just brilliant. Makes him more of a parallel to Odysseus.
Poseidon is actually one of the best fathers among the Gods and protects all his children regardless of what they are, many humans wouldn't see hum as a "caring" parental figure with how he acts, but among the Gods? If you had to pick a parent he's one of the best to choose.
Can I just say, I got such a visceral sense of dread when Poseidon appeared. The water pulling back Odysseus, who was so so hopeful finally, then his raft smashing, and then the eye appearing. Terrifying, even though I've heard this song many times. Also, how up close and personal Poseidon got with that final strike. That was personal and he wanted Odysseus to know it.
I love the fact that there was three Water Warriors with spears, a representation of his trident. The fact that Poseidon was also there in the water with him and not just his trident pushing him down deeper, like in other depictions of the song, gives it a whole new meaning.
I also love How the fact that poisedon was só up close agaisnt Odysseus helps sell out How 600 strike better. Here It wont be Odysseus slowly getting out of the water in a Air jetpack versus a god that was being careful against him, instead It Will bê Odysseus once more taking advantage of a mistake born out of pride of his enemy through Quick cunning like he did time and time again during the epic!
@@ladydovaky8491 Poseidon getting hit point blank with his own storm because of pride is something he'd probably never live down amongst the other Gods.
omg, i didn't even notice the spear thing, I've legit been studying each frame of this animatic, I feel so bad that I missed that that's such a great detail!!!
@@MammalianCreature Ahem, may I reference you too *gestures flagrantly* PUDDLE BOI by Casper Fox, truly a phenomenal example of how the gods may react to this great and terrible loss on Poseidon's part 🧐🧐🧐
0:26 The fact that Odysseus is paddling with his own hands just to get home a little faster, he's so excited to get home! It's so cute! And Penelope is so beautiful! 2:46 I like that Poseidon looks almost as tired as Odysseus in this scene. Usually, we see Odysseus pleading to Poseidon to be let go, but at this point, Odysseus is just done. He's tired, exasperated, and bordering angry. He just wants to get home, and he really doesn't want to deal with Poseidon's grudge.
"Maybe you could learn to forgive" at that point was a blow to Poseidon, he's like "I can't" and then that line on top of it - nah he's done Ody's finished.
The fact that it seems like Poseidon paused to listen to Ody, then thought back to holding his son who was blind forever and in pain like… he thought about forgiveness but that’s just not him. This is amazing!! The details and Poseidon caring about his son like, ahh! Just amazing!!
I don't think Poseidon actually cared about his son. I think it was the fact that Poseidon's pride and ego was hurt and challenged by Odysseus' actions towards his son that made him so mad. Poseidon (a god) was challenged by a mortal (Odysseus), and I think that's also the point that Zeus made in Thunderbringer
@Cinder5andA5he5 in the myth that is likely the case, but Neal has drawn the gods to be more family oriented. Kinda like how Epic itself is its own retelling, I can see that each Epic fanartist has their own interpretation too
This is amazing. I love that the shipwrecks are still in Poseidon's hair, like a weight he still carries. He looks so tired, with bags under his eyes. He does look like a grieving father, especially when you included him holding Polyphemus. Incredible work!
i always love how your animatics make the gods and goddesses seem so humane but also very destructive and prideful like gosh the family-like bond the gods have in your art adds alot more emotion to the song honestly
The flow (hehe) of the water between scenes is EMACULATE. You see the water bodies floating up and a few moments later they show up again as rain symbolizing raining blood omfg YOU ARE TOO GOOD! Its cinematic!
I hope 600 strikes is next because I just need to see the resolution of YOUR Poseidon (who is my absolute favorite interpretation of him) Phenomenal work as usual!
Omg this was so worth the wait this is amazing!!! The little touches of having Poseidon hold Polyphemus and actually personally pinning Odysseus down in the water were just *chefs kiss* immaculate. Definitely my favourite animatic of this song.
I love love love LOVE how you showed why Poseidon cant forgive. He is ruthless for a reason! Also love that part of the action is on a rock instead of the small boat, which gives a new way of showing the scene and fighting. Just wonderful execution of everything. I love the depiction of the horse form also. Your strength truly lies in depicting Gods with unfathomable power. THANK YOU for the wonderful animatic (or straight up animation)
THANKS YOU for remembering Poseidon cares about Polyphemus - people try to dismiss it as if he can only have one reason for his vengence, but that's just dismissive of half the musical's themes [well, until it eats its own tail and forgets them]. Loves how it looked!
@Maireog i would also like further Elaborations, i see how 600 strikes is jumping the shark in terms of the Jetpack thing, not sure how it causes issues thematically
@@Emily12471 I think this because it has been established throughout the whole series that Poseidon is a very powerful god, he killed most of Ody's crew, taunted him for a decade and in almost any animation with Poseidon you can just see how overpowering he is compared to Odysseus. However, in "600 strikes" Poseidon was easily defeated by Odysseus with the help of the jet pack thing and even got stabbed by Odysseus with his own trident. It would have been at least a little more reasonable if Odysseus perhaps received the help from other gods, like Athena or Hermes, instead of just defeating Poseidon on his own. Also, if Odysseus was that strong, he wouldn't have had to run from Poseidon in the first place. It's mostly just about the illogical power imo.
I really enjoy how obsessed and tired Poseidon looks in this! His braids are undone, the wreckage is still in his hair, his eyes are clearly tired, and the obvious impatience for Odysseus is wonderfully done! It actually looks like Poseidon has been searching for Odysseus all this time and is more than ready to put an end to this.
Holy moly... I love the eerie-ness of Horseidon in the beginning. I love the tenderness portrayed as he hugged Polyphemus. i love how Poseidon looks so exhausted and irritated. And how petty he is to still have the shipwreck in his hair. AND THE THREE MINI-DONDON FORMING A TRIDENT? Stunning. And I love that Poseidon actually gets up close and personal in stabbing and drowning Odysseus. It gets me really excited to see how your 600 strikes would be like! You've blessed our eyes yet again, Neal! Thank you
I especially like how he got up close and personal to deliver the killshot its the first time he actually lowered himself to the size of a human instead of giant sized a nice little detail
Yeah, I love that this version of Poseidon is genuinely angry because of his son. It makes his almost resigned "I can't" even better. He very clearly FEELS the ten years of hate, less than Ody, of course, but still, it's weighing him down too. And the moment he says "No", the EYE pops up, the very reason for his rage. It's perfect.
HES LITERALLY STANDING ON HIS FLEET AAA This is by far the most personal confrontation between the two I’ve seen in any interpretation of this song. Even while Poseidon is telling him to y’know… he’s sending human-sized manifestations to battle Ody instead of just killing him outright. You can’t make this guy's pettiness up.
i love how much of a mastery Zeus and Poseidon have over their element. So much of what they do looks so easy and natural that hard to register it's even coming from them. Like Zeus with the cloud maidens and the floating islands in god games, thats him! And here, the floating water bodies, the tide warriors, the giant horse?!? it really goes to show how powerful they are, even without their giant stature. And i like how this one ends with Poseidon personally stabbing him with his special trident, means i know where Ody got it!! lol
OMG Poseidon holding polyphemus is so cute! I always think of this part as the only one he shows his true colors, he must not like chasing him like this for this long, but it seems like he doesn't have a choice, almost like he needs to prove he's not "weak"
The visual at 0:44 is just striking to watch. Like a shark in the water, Poseidon encircling his prey. And the following scene at 1:05. *Chef's kiss* I never thought that a horse could be such a scary underwater monster. Thank you for this visual.
HOLY SHIT THIS WAS AMAZING! I'll come back when I can articulate HOW GOOD THIS IS but for now OH MY GOD your Poseidon is MY FAVORITE out of ALL THE ANIMATICS I've seen!
Poseidon's face while Odysseus is pleading with him to move on, potentially even embrace forgiveness, is EXACTLY how I imagined it. He's tired, resigned. It's so clear from the way he looks down at Odysseus, and then his expression while he's embracing his son, he truly _can't_ move on from this. Absolutely STUNNING work!
Omg every time you deliver gems but this THIS is perfection! The anticipation of Poseidon arrival, the horses, the water corpses, the water animation and then Poseidon! We can feel their power, their rage, their pain! Thank you for your amazing work! wow
I am in absolute AWE. My favorite depiction of poseidon's water form in this fandom's animatics has always been the creepy horse, and you've made him HORRIFYING, 10/10. Don't even get me started on the rest of this video, the subtle expressions, the flash of Polyphemus when Poseidon screams 'die', the way you chose to portray this so artistically, I love EVERYTHING about this I can't even asdurbejckekfnskemnfms
This was an absolutely delicious feast for the eyes, amazing job as always Neal. I loved how you did Posideons horse form and how you portrayed him as being genuinely sad for his son instead of him taking it as a personal slight that Odysseus didn’t bother killing him.
Oh my gods... I haven't seen anyone make Poseidon a horror thing in here, I've never seen the pure emotion and rage he has, nobody has actually shown why he can't give up, we know it but showing Poseidon hugging his son shows us how much he loves his kids and his family. The way he transforms into that godly (I know he is a god but idk what to call it) form, like Zeus did in God Games, but then it being that he did it himself, personally, stabbing Ody into the water like that. Neal, Neal, are you a child of Apollo?
That Poseidon horse is creepy as HELL. I love how you made Poseidon look visible, well, tired. It leads in well to that whole exchange. And this is probably the best demonstration ever of why “maybe you could learn to forgive” was-at best- not going to work, and at worst, a HORRIBLE idea. You feel BAD for Poseidon and Polyphemus.
In Poseidon's defense, if anyone hurt Ody's son, even back when he still had a merciful heart, the culprit would be pulverized. 3:27 is my favorite frame. As always, Neal, I can't say enough positive things about your art. So much love from Alaska.
Wow. You actually made me feel for Poseidon’s side of the story when you showed him holding Polyphemus! Like, how DARE Odysseus ask him to forgive when he hurt his SON? That smile at the end was EVIL though, damn. What an amazing animation!!! I LOVE the eldritch water horse design for Poseidon, it’s so eerie I adore when the gods are portrayed like that. Everything here is just so cool!! 2:00 This shot here stood out to me especially, bro never got the shipwrecks out of his hair… how traumatizing for Ody!
That was absolutely PHENOMENAL The beginning where we see Poseidon as a water horse peaking out of the water like some kind of sea monster was genuinely scary I loved it
1:06 is terrifying I honestly don’t know how Ody kept sane throughout the whole thing 😭 wonderful work and thank you for bringing the musical to life! Excited for the next animatic, but also get some rest in between ❤
I love this! Odysseus has a lighter frame, Poseidon has eyebags and looks tired, and Polyphemus is comforted by his father! The two horses he formed at 3:22 made it seem like he was riding a chariot. The details I was able to capture just seemed so unreal that I could watch this over and over again and still be shocked! You did an amazing job, Neal!
I clicked so fast to get here. 😅 How Poseidon comforts his son is so touching. You can see he deeply cares for him, and he looks so young. This is so wonderful and different to see.
I think what also sells it is that they're all the same size; for Polyphemus, it's about a child being maimed for reasons he can't understand and desperately calling for help. For Poseidon, this conflict is driven by his humanity and love for his son, not just his pride. For Odysseus, this whole thing is a dozen years of unbending trauma and pain he's about to snap under. God I love Neal's interpretations of these works, it's so refreshing to see the different takes on what's going on than going as pure Canon as possible
@thingmate7361 Yes! Exactly that! You described it perfectly. How both sides are affected and how it's just a refreshing take on how it is different and beautiful in its own way.
The whole setup that makes the confrontation look like a prep for a real boss battle is brilliant! Poseidon creating lesser forms of himself (or summoning minions), then entering the "second stage" and his real form... Truly a masterpiece!
Whoof, this whole thing gave me chills. But perhaps my favorite part is, as with a lot of your animatics regarding Epic, how you have been humanizing the gods,* and nowhere is this said louder at 2:50. Where Odysseus's plea for them to just bury the hatchet after a decade of hunting, and Poseidon seems to genuinely consider it, but then remembering Polyphemus upon clutching the amulet that symbolizes their bond. The memory of his son, his boy, crying tears of blood in his father's arms, inflicted with horrible pain and agony and denied even an honorable death at the hands of Odysseus.** Poseidon _cannot_ let this go, no matter how tired he is of this pursuit. He is a father fighting to avenge his son's suffering and disgrace, and he will not stop. Not unless something truly miraculous and terrible where to happen to stop him, which makes me all the more excited when you get around to 600 Hundred Strikes.*** All in all, excellent job. By the way, what's the story with the Spearmen? Are they simply artistic interpretations of Poseidon's power, or do they actually have a place in Greek Mythology? I'm just curious. * Really want to see how you would handle some of Athena's other pieces in the Epic Musical, and to just make animatics for all of the songs. ** Not an endorsement of the behavior that got Polyphemus in that situation, of course. *** Speaking of which, nice touch keeping the spirits of Odysseus's crew and mother out of the animatic until you can make 600 Strike. Really leaves the audience in suspense at the thought that Odysseus might have actually died at the hands of the vengeful God of the Sea, and saves the emotional impact for when it's really needed.
OMG- I love the details in here! How Ody used his hands to try to get that extra edge and get home quicker, how the boats from Ruthlessness are apart of Poseidon since he is the God of the sea, how the cyclops (I don't know how to spell his name) clings to Poseidon while he holds him- everything it just amazing and I loved every frame of this thing
The emphasis you put on Poseidon's grief is fantastic, the added sound design for water effects really enhances the scene, that whole horse thing was beautifully creepy, and god Poseidon driving the point home personally instead of just at a distance with his kaiju avatar or whatever we wanna call the big mode.
Welp. Time to go scream into a pillow. SERIOUSLY THIS WAS AMAZING LIKE the way you made Poseidon showcase such HUMAN emotion was BRILLIANT and the ‘final transformation’ at the end, I kid you not, my jaw DROPPED and the idea of him holding Ody down to the floor is brilliant. AND THE WATER HORSE THINGS ARE SO COOL
OHHHHH BOY The debris from the ships, the bodies of his men floating in the air? How AWESOME his horse design is, that was absolutely chilling! And that final form was absolutely incredible, and I'm so, SO glad to see someone finally have Poseidon stabbing Odysseus instead of just drowning him again. Really drives home how he means to finish it this time, once and for all. Amazing work Neal, you're truly an inspiration!!
I enjoyed watching the in progress for this. Honestly, what I love MOST is the fact that in this Animatic Poseidon gets up close and personal with Ody to stab him. It brings him down to a mortal level and leaves him open for 600 Strikes. It's also just a deeper video as well, you can TELL that Poseidon is tired but he wants to ensure that his son gets avenged. The scene itself with Polyphemus clinging to him... yeah the feels punch is all too real. Love this so much, because it really adds to the emotions that the big guy is likely feeling as a whole. Especially from Poseidon's point of view.
First unique take that I love is absolutely showing Poseidon's flashback to consoling his injured son @3:00. I haven't seen anyone else incorporate Polyphemus directly into it like that! Then @3:43 I LOVE your take on Poseidon's final strike taking him up close and personal under the surface like this! The more common perspective is something akin to a Poseidon Spirit Bomb but this is a genius way to incorporate his signature trident into this moment. You absolutely nailed this one! ❤ If you have plans to add another animatic into your Odyssey portfolio, my inner Ares would love "Odysseus" since you would absolutely kill the action shots and expressions of everyone. Pun completely intended 😁
YES!!!!!!! That horse peeking at him was super creepy and I love it! Poseidon getting up close and personal to stab Ody and pin him underwater is so much better than simply pushing him deep underwater!

The fact that you had Posiden frown or look angry in all his appearance in your Epic animatics, the fact that he *smiles* when he thought he killed Odysseus and finally avenge his son, makes it all the more chilling! 😨✨️🌊
I just wanna say that I love how Neal makes the gods so family-oriented. Like, you can feel they all genuinely care for each other instead of just chasing renown and worship, and Poseidon genuinely is angry *because* of his son being hurt then the fact that mortals slighted him
The watery effigies of his crew dissolving into rain is fantastic! I love too how well you were able to portray such a traditional graceful and timid creature as a horse as a terrifying predator. Also, I'm usually not a fan of when animatics add sound effects but that haunting, whistling, moaning wind sound that plays at 1:06 and 1:34 is both chilling and non obtrusive and adds so much to the atmosphere; absolutely fantastic work!

@@condedooku9750This make 600 strike so much worse if he is literally just trying to avenge his sons pain 😢
Also in Ruthlessness he was just saying that to torment Odysseus by letting him know that this was happening to him because of his own fault, because of his "mercy" and his pride, he makes it very clear that he cares for Polyfermus even so:
"… And now it is finally time to say goodbye, today you die, unless, of course, you apologize, for my son's pain and all his cries."
POSEIDON’S FINAL FORM IS INSANE. THE HORSES? THE ARMOUR THING ON HIS MOUTH?? THE TENTACLES??? AMAZING
Right? Ever since I saw Zeus' final form in Neal's God Games, Ive been dying to see Poseidon's and it did not disappoint. Not what I expected but faaaaar from disappointing, it's so good.
His final form is too close to Posiden in GOW 3

Posidon holding Polyphemus is such a great detail. A lot of other animatics give thd impression that this grudge is purely a pride thing which works well and supported by the lyrics, but seeing Poseidon as a caring father is just brilliant. Makes him more of a parallel to Odysseus.
Especially since Poseidon actually cares about his kids. Odysseus would be doing the same thing had it been Telemachus
I like it, it's more like his a facade of pride here instead of actual pride.

Damn. You’re right the detail is amazing
@fizzydizzystudios4768 Ody looks so tired and annoyed that he could strike Poseidon 600 times.
"Maybe you could learn to forgive" at that point was a blow to Poseidon, he's like "I can't" and then that line on top of it - nah he's done Ody's finished.
@@CommSchuKadaj And so is Poseidon

The fact that it seems like Poseidon paused to listen to Ody, then thought back to holding his son who was blind forever and in pain like… he thought about forgiveness but that’s just not him. This is amazing!! The details and Poseidon caring about his son like, ahh! Just amazing!!
I feel so bad for Polyphemus, and Poseidon actually caring about him made me cry
Same
makes sense. i always felt like Poseidon is being a true dad. He would let go a long time ago if he didn't care about him.
@Cinder5andA5he5 True but is also nice to imagine that there's a little care there for one of his sons
Incredible work!
i always love how your animatics make the gods and goddesses seem so humane but also very destructive and prideful like gosh
the family-like bond the gods have in your art adds alot more emotion to the song honestly

THANKS YOU for remembering Poseidon cares about Polyphemus - people try to dismiss it as if he can only have one reason for his vengence, but that's just dismissive of half the musical's themes [well, until it eats its own tail and forgets them].
Loves how it looked!
At which point does the musical eat its own tail and forget its themes?
@robertmartens9072 600 Strike I think. It is notorious for not fitting with the power set up given for Poseidon.
@Maireog Really? Can I ask for elaboration on that? I can sort of understand it but I'd like to understand it better.
The end of this entire paragraph is very understandable & relatable, I already have rings 💍💍 (Poseidonismywife.) + (OUT OF CHARACTER-or is it?)
HES LITERALLY STANDING ON HIS FLEET AAA
This is by far the most personal confrontation between the two I’ve seen in any interpretation of this song.
And i like how this one ends with Poseidon personally stabbing him with his special trident, means i know where Ody got it!! lol
Ooh, the horse silhouette in the water was chilling

OMG Poseidon holding polyphemus is so cute! I always think of this part as the only one he shows his true colors, he must not like chasing him like this for this long, but it seems like he doesn't have a choice, almost like he needs to prove he's not "weak"

How Poseidon comforts his son is so touching.
THE MINI POSEIDONS HAVING SPEARS THAT MAKE A TRIDENT IF PIECED TOGETHER, OH MY GOD-
Whoof, this whole thing gave me chills.

NAAAH THE CUT TO POSEIDON HOLDING A CRYING POLYPHEMUS WAS DIABOLICAL
