    Photo was taken by myself.
For this video, I broke out my copy of The Red Book of Westmarch, my map of Middle Earth, Bofur’s tobacco pouch, and a selection of coins from Middle Earth. I then added some subtle wisps of smoke across the screen to simulate Bilbo smoking his pipe, the sound of a fire cracking in the hearth and bird sounds that are nearly identical to those in the movie during this scene. Enjoy.
If you would like to see a video of the contents of the full book, the people who make the book posted a video on their TH-cam channel flipping through all the pages. • The Red Book of Westma...
If you enjoyed this video, be sure to visit my channel for more LOTR inspired content.

Music is from the LOTR & Hobbit trilogies by Howard Shore.

The Red Book of Westmarch was a red-leather bound book written by the Hobbit Bilbo Baggins and his household-heir Frodo Baggins, (with supplemental information later added by Samwise Gamgee) which chronicled both their adventures, as well as background information which the Bagginses had collected.
Bilbo Baggins started the book recounting his quest to Erebor, which he entitled There and Back Again. He later gave the book to Frodo at Rivendell after completing it. Frodo organized Bilbo's manuscript and used it to write down his own quest of the War of the Ring.

I really can't quite put my finger on it, but everytime I watch LOTR videos similar to this one, I get deeply emotional. It really feels like Middle Earth was once a real place, and part of my soul longs to return home....what a strange thing.....anyone else feel the same?

I feel heartbroken, I have just finished reading The Hobbit. It took me 3 months because of work commitments and working 16 hours a day in Audit -_- . But I have watched all 3 movies the past 3 weekends and I feel a sense of loss because of the characters who died, and just that my adventure with Thorin's Company is over. It truly felt like an adventure reading it and watching the movies and now it's all over. Yesterday I finished watching the fellowship of the ring extended version for the second time!!! I’m going to watch the other two soon!! I never saw lord of the rings when I was little because I was terrified of the orcs. But I watched them for the first time last year and loved them!!!! :) :)

I could see this being played in a church somewhere. Very peaceful; reminds of childhood. Sunday appropriate music in my case.

This music is so peaceful, and heart touching. Somehow I find it painful to listen to at times though. Like I'm missing something, and my heart is full of want for something I can't have. I don't want the hurt anymore, but I don't want to move on.

This makes me want to drink tea with double cream, eat seed cake with butter and take a nap. Only to heat up a nice cornish pasty, a pint of beer. Smoke some Longbottom leaf. And perhaps nibble on some cheese with dade-bread and a glass of red before bed. Or maybe something stronger😉

I listened to this video when I was asked to do the heartbreaking task of writing the eulogy for my best friend Logan's funeral. It brought me so much peace and tranquility that I was able to do it in less than 3 hours, not crying even once. And now listening to this, a year after his death feels not like a heartbreak but like meeting an old friend I haven't seen in a long time but never lost touch with. It feels like Logan but the happy and funny memories, not the sad ones. So thank you, Peter Jackson, Tolkien and everyone who made a Universe so beautiful that I felt at home in, even in my darkest time

34 years old, and I listen to things like this while I work and while I enjoy a whisky in the late evening reading a book. I do not know if I will ever get to live like Bilbo, but everyday, I am transported to a world of possibilities. Thank you for what you do for us small folk.

The only movie/book I always get bk to even after so many years. No other has done this to me. It's funny to feel nostalgic to a place you have only read or watched in movies. I just can't express enough of this world created by tolkien..
I will be utterly grateful to him and Peter Jackson.

Just good food, good music, good tobacco, good company, and one knee over another as the world passes you by... Oh how I hope one day I find myself laying in a field of tall grass overlooking something I can say "It was worth it all, just for this moment." Don't let the magic die, friends.
