7 years with Unreal Engine and I still needed that explanation to finally *really* know what's going on with these boxes and borders, especially that border just being borked by default. Thank you.

This is great, but I'm still looking for a way to just create a border around a menu or a box - just a border like you'd have the option to put on any element in any graphics program. I'm clearly missing something obvious here, but I don't see any option to just put a border around things, rather than adding an image.

Same. Don't even know why they call it a border.

Thanks for explaining that! Doesn't seem to be a lot of unreal UI tutorials.

I don't get it why Epic doesn't fix that "Border" option. It has more option then Box. For example the inner parts can be multiplied instead of stretching.

Great tutorial, is there any way to show this kind of text after clicking specific object or for example after clicking on INFO icon?

No matter what I do things inside or around it move when I scale it up or down. Any remedy for this?

When I set it up like this my child text of the border doesn't adjust to fit the border size. How do I do this without manually placing line changes with [shift + enter]?

    • @ruffleraveninc3602

It's auto wrap text. I just found it... AFTER A YEAR STRAIGHT OF WORKING IN UE5!

Protip: if you ever need double click functions on a button, use a border I stead of a button.

Wait so to have a visual border I actually have to give it a texture? Why can't I just tell it to draw a thick border around things? wtf is this shit?
