My grandparents had four blackheart cherry trees that would be full of crows. My grandmother said they were our ancestors counting the cattle in the pasture and watching over them and us. She was cool with a full murder in the trees, but one crow on the fence post alone was bad luck. I love crows, and that piece is definitely a keeper. ✌
I currently have a murder of crows visiting my yard. There seems to be more every day - 14 at last count today. 🐦⬛🐦⬛🐦⬛🐦⬛🐦⬛

Those little jugs salt n peppers probably were the hanging S&P's for the little ceramic stand you saw a few days ago. You carried the stand around in your cart looking for the hanging S&Ps, to no avail. Maybe you can retrace and find the stand again.
Arabia “Ruska” Finland, my sister inherited a set from my mum. She just purchased a rare covered butter dish and some replacement bowls. They are heavy as anything, very durable, and I used to hate eating off them when I was a kid, because they would sound awful when you scraped your cutlery against them.
I didn't like the sound they made as she placed them in the cart! But I would have bought them too!

At my first petsitting call this morning..i distictly heard a baby kitten screaming..searched and searched..it was a CROW ! Little booger.
Crows are incredibly intelligent!! They recognize faces even… The University of Washington did a study and it’s a PBS special called A Murder of Crows… truly made me respect them so much more… we have Ravens out here too… they love peanuts in the shell!! 🐦⬛🥜

That brown dinnerware, you found? You might consider taking a tour around any other nearby goodwills, because sometimes people will donate to more than one place, and maybe unintentially split up sets like that. I have seen that, more than once.😊
I bought that same Arabia dinnerware many years ago. It wears like iron. You scored big time getting it for such a great price. Too bad they didn't have the bowls.
I saw you pick up the Arabia Ruska and thought, oh no, she doesn’t know what it is! But of course you persevered til you found out because you know quality! (Edited to add….where are the mugs!!? So frustrating to have found the saucers without the cups! )
I watch Ye Old Curiosity Shop too. He likes the 1920s, 30s (and 40s…depending on item). I love the 30s, 40s and 50s.

I wish I could have boxed up and sent you the Arabia set that was on sale at my thrift store. It had bowls and tea/coffee pot and cups. I always run into them here in Norway. When things don't sell at my local thrift, they box them up and have them sent them to other, less fortunate countries, like Lithuania. Great video, again. Thanks for the inspiration!

When I come to Sweden from Ireland to marry my Swedish boyfriend he had that brown dinner and coffee service. I absolutely hated it 😂
The flat round copper art nouveau lady I think is a flue cover, for when people had wood fire stoves/ovens in the house. Decorative and pretty!

Congratulations on the great find with the dinnerware set! I love finding Arabia Finland or Denby. Oddly selling dinnerware is some of my favorite things to sell. When you find a good set… ZOWIE there is some good money to be made!
I recently found a set of 6 salad and 6 dessert plates By Royal Crown Derby and they sold for $670 … never underestimate dinnerware 😉 and they sold quickly, within a week of listing.
I also bought a huge set of Wedgwood in sage green this spring and dang that stuff sold extremely well. The teapot alone sold for over $200. We are well over $1,000. In sales on that stuff.
Too bad you didn't keep that little tree-like thing that you couldn't find anything to hang off of it, because...there they are!

BOLO for pairs of candlesticks with stickers that say Simon Pearce. Found a pair today for $3, worth nearly $200.
They are called "Hartland" style and have a ball on the base.
BOLO for Christmas cards that have red/black velvet boarders and the cards are chromatic (light copper color, light bounces off them, very pretty).
They sell for $10+ a piece. Toodles for now! Pee Wee

I just commented on an 2 year old video where you passed a box of old corelle dishes...a pattern i had in 1977 as a wedding gift..... the memories. 😂 for shits and laughter i looked it up. But i also noticed the old Corningware cassarole pieces i also had in 1977 same thing...wedding gifts are fetching crazy prises. Holy moly

I have 2 crows who sit on my fence daily waiting for my cats who I feed outside on fine days, to finish eating and down they swoop - unless the pair of magpies are there ! Seagulls are the worst for pinching food from humans !
That grey crazed bud vase at ~4:23 looks exactly like a pink one my parents got me in the 80s/90s, during a tour through indigenous Arizona... Or New Mexico , maybe. I'm interested in finding out what the sticker says.
Pretty sure that beautifully subtle pink vase is (very sadly) long gone in the tumult of my many moves, but I wouldn't mind finding something like it again... I guess I'm dreaming again. :) 😅❤😢❤😅

I started feeding a crow, then he brought 2 other friends, they follow me on the trail and fly so close to my face, I’m not sure if they’re trying to come close or assassinate me, it scares the hell out of me! And they’re supposed to be nice and bring presents, yeah right…..

At my local farmers market we have pottery people that make beautiful mugs and they charge $50 for them.

I loved the plates you got for yourself. When my sis and I went to school we passed a lady’s house that had crows, one talked. Everyday we walked by he said “ What’s your hurry?” It was a little freaky.
