Just a thought ...you could mention that butter pat dishes make great used teabag plates. I often pick them up as singles for myself.
The first item you picked up is from the 40''s to 50's. It is to hold cigarettes and usually came wiith 2 small ash trays. I have one from my grandmother. I use it to hold toothpicks and the ashtrays to place the used toothpick's in. Great for entertaining and always a conversation piece.
It may have been used for cigarettes by some people but that’s not it’s original purpose 🙂

I agree and it is hard to believe today that once upon a time it was considered good etiquette to put out cigarettes for guests. As times have changed, it is interesting to learn of all the new "re-purposes" readers have come up with.
That toothpick holder was Royal Worcester-definitely would have picked that up-and the green and gold glass bell-amazing!

Almost fell for the “murano” label. Then I remembered I was at Home Goods. Several shelves of the stuff.
Nate Berkus should of picked up that one…Opra helped him in his career path. Has his own show now. Probably would have sold for $35+.
Glad you picked up the green glass vase although it was not "real" Murano. Murano is a place, not a company. For those who do not know: Murano is an island in the Venetian lagoon. In the 13th century, all Venetian glassmakers had to move to the island because of the danger of fire due to the furnaces. So everything that is produced there is real Murano. If something is made "in the technique" it is still high quality, but just was not made directly on that island.
I find that there are many poorly made Chinese pieces that have stickers claiming to be “made in the technique of Murano.” It is simply meant to be misleading. This is why the word MURANO is larger than the rest of the text. I would typically not pick up pieces with misleading labels, however, I liked the emerald green coloring and form.
@@CrazyLampLady Sure, but that's not what I meant. Murano is a geographical indication (in the sense of European Union law). It is protected so you can't claim to have made a Murano vase anywhere else in Italy or the rest of the world. Even if you used the exact same techniques and the vase has the same quality. What I tried to say is that it does not necessarily have to be worse quality if something is made "in the technique". The "made in China" stuff is something different. That's (attempted) fraud.
I’ve been to Murano, tackiest gift shops I’ve ever seen. Most of it foreign made.
I find the ones made in Italy even if they are not made in Murano to be nicer than the made in China ones. Even when we visited Venice I waited to purchase a piece in Murano because there are plenty of tourist stores selling pieces made elsewhere and labeling them as murano.

At 21:40, a small miniature oil painting popped up. If you see them again, grab them. I believe it's by a painter from the 1970s. Having a senior moment. Name escapes me.

Yes the royal Worcester pots at the beginning, are for holding cigarettes, I rembeseeing them around the house when I was a kid.
I learned the little porcelain pieces rectangle shaped were toothpick holders, I see them everywhere!

It's easy to decorate with white milk glass. You can add it to go along with almost anything. And it's popular again, especially with the younger set.

First thing you pick up (‘cigarette holder’😃) is actually a canapé holder, they often originally come with the little dish too. Hope this helps 😊😊
Fish is hanging ashtray- popular in the 60s and 70s. Comb is pewter. I think my mother brought them home from Switzerland in the 70s

The wheel chair made by OG is Target brand of American girl. Should check it out. They have really great items. We brought more of them than American Girl. Much better prices than American Girl.

OG is for Target’s brand Our Generation dolls. Same size as American Girl dolls, just not as expensive. So that was an Our Generation wheel chair.
Few whatnot ideas. Dogs birds accessories for meals like salt and pepper shakers,butter plates,candle holders, glasses, pitchers, tea sets, fancy bowls for mints etc it's so much fun adding these touches to your table. My vast collection of salt and pepper shakers are a big hit. Every setting has their own distinct set. Lots of ideas. Carnival glass does well for you. Mexican folk art, Italian, have a field day!!!!!
You could add birdhouses and statues for the bird show.

Ocarina is the whistle thing. I love your videos, but I always wish you'd turn the camera down just a little - when you zoom in almost everything is cut off at the top. I'm low vision, so I watch full screen and the video title obscures part of the items as well.
