    You guys had a very good day in the field! That is another good family trip into history - too bad your daughter missed out. The axe is nice and not many of those seem to be found these days.
    I have seen 2 "balls" like yours before, but I do not believe that they are the same. On the Oak Island show with the European relics on that island in Nova Scotia, 2 such balls were found. I believe they were a bit smaller, but it was determined that the balls were musket balls that were sometimes used instead of lead or metal "bullets." Either the projectiles were from handguns or small cannons. But, as I said and unless there were very old battles on that site, I do not believe that your round rocks could be the same. So, maybe game balls are the answer!

    When I was young man of about 8 to 10 years old... I Found two curved axes that were never used and they were really big... One was about a foot long and the other was about 20 + inches long.... They were with a lower leg bone of about 44 inches long and a human looking skull about the size of basketball... Yes it was of a giant.... The way we figured it the giant compared to a us... He must have been 13 feet tall.... I know that is hard to believe but my adult bone in my bottom half of my leg it 18 inches and I am 68 inches tall that makes him 166 or 13 + feet tall... Now all Numbers for lower leg are approximate and his height is approximate... but the ratio of body parts being the same that is the way the algebra works out!!!

    Awesome points. I noticed you had some videos in Massachusetts. I’m originally from Kentucky and grew up collecting points with my grandfather. Would love to pass this tradition on to my son. Any recommendations for us to go have a successful day so he will be inspired to go back again. Thanks God bless

    • @artifactaddiction
      @artifactaddiction  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you very much for taking the time to watch and comment on the video. It’s much appreciated. I don’t have any videos from Massachusetts however. All of our hunts are from the Midwest. Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, ect… I’m assuming you’re located in Massachusetts now? If so, I’d still search there the same I do in the Midwest. I’d look in tilled fields adjacent to waterways. (Rivers, creeks, lakes, swamps, and wetlands). Walk the higher elevations in the field closest to the water after a few good rains to locate any possible flint flakes. Once you locate flint chips and flakes, you’ll begin to find artifacts. A lot of older farmers will have collections from their particular farm and will likely point you in the right direction when you ask and gain permission. Hope this helps! Best of luck!!! Let me know if you have anymore questions too.
