I'm glad you found that interesting! I like rewetting previous puddles of paint for other sketches and paintings, so I often keep them this way. Thank you for watching!
Loving the orange background it definitely made your video stand out! And I love watching other artists palettes its really fun. I like that you kept the dirty mixing spaces it makes me feel that your palettes are truly loved 🥰
Ooo thank you for the background feedback 💜 I'm glad the orange pops out! These palettes have been through a lot! I'm not sure if it's noticeable in the video but there's a red stain along the seal of the studio palette where paint leaked a few years ago 😂
Never thought water colour could be so varied and complicated ! I would be interested in a swatching video ! Or even a video about how you clean or take care of all your tools, we don't see this often.
Great suggestions! Thank you 💜 Once you start watercolour it opens up to a whole world of materials and techniques! I love exploring different pigments but I have to be careful I don't collect them like Pokémon lol
Search for pocket pill cases....you will find awesome, small, air tight containers that have divided sections......perfect for a small pocket palette. You can get them with one big place to put paint, 2 sections, 3, 4....6, etc
We use a lot of the same colors and palettes. 😊 I just ordered the mini portable painter and am excited to try it for traveling. Did you know they have expansion packs to be able to put in more colors now? I have the bigger portable painter, but being able to fit 12 colors into such a small and light palette is exciting.
Ooo I hope you have fun with the mini version! The pans to add more colours sound really useful 🤔 I may have to pick some up. I'd love to try the original portable painter at some point in the future! Even if we don't need more palettes we always need more palettes lol
ahh i love how your palettes look! all those delicious mixes and i feel you with that tiny space cleaned out on your main palette lol that's exactly what i do if i need a fresh spot. i have slightly more palettes than i would ideally want i think, i'm at around 8ish? (uhh let's see, 1x 20-well, 1x18-well, 1x 16-well, 2x standard tins, 2x art toolkits (one demi and one standard), 1x square wooden palette, and 1 little six-well palette with the last bit of my daniel smith essentials set, oh ok that's nine :0). indanthrone/indanthrene/delft blue is one of my favorites too!! mine's from schmincke and its so gorgeous.
Yes!!! Glad I'm not the only one with cleaning of the tiny palette spaces haha. It sounds like you have a lovely collection going! I have my eye on a few more palettes but I keep telling myself I have what I need lol
With ur 6 color palette......wouldn't transparent orange or similar orange that is transparent be better and work the same? I mean would it still mix a middle red?
I hope I answered your question for why I picked Red Orange in another reply to you! I love the old transparent pyrrol orange, which is on my main palette. That or pyrrol scarlet would have made a nice choice if I had different goals with the micro palette
Those little pots of color are such a great idea 😊.
Thank you 💜 They've still been handy in my art practice to this day
Nice palette tour. I like how all of the different palettes have not been cleaned, but show that they are all being put to good use. Cheers!
