Yeah, if the combo isn't an OTK or a huge turn that immediately leads into a win, then it's not really a combo deck. His description of "you get a collection of cards for a strategy" is literally just constructed gameplay. That's not a combo, that's literally just playing the game.
I have no idea how you manage to pump out so much quality content at such an astounding rythm all the while being so positive. Just love to see it! Thanks Rarran!
I think I came up with a good analogy for separating Combo's as Rarran means them in this video compared to OTKs. all OTK's are Combos, but not all Combos are OTKs
anyfin was my favourite deck. one thing i did that no one else was doing was put in redemption instead of the stealth guy to get the anyfin off way earlier. it also synergized with tyrion and pyromancer and a couple other cards idk why everyone ran stealth, if you get that off anyfin it hampers your power so much

Mage for me had to be freeze mage from gvg. Don't know if frost lance still works the same but I hated taking so much damage and not even being able to counter :/
My favorite Homebrewed combo is play The Ungoro Quest then Rastakahns rumble quest. play an Augmented Elek with the Carnessa at some point. then you use tundra rhino>3 raptors>Hero power> face for 19. i built it control up to the point of the Queen Carnessa play.
Watching this made me think of trying to modernize shirvallah paladin. With the new legendary spell and all the recent holy support, along with the cariel hero card instead of uther, removal being more plentiful and cheap than it’s ever been with consecration, city tax, etc. and even more card draw than before, the deck theoretically should work Edit: forgot to mention polkelt
Holy wrath paladin with high priest thekal and molten giants + order in the court to stack the deck for 2 mana has been decent in wild for a while, popping in and out of favor depending on the meta.
Raza Priest used to have an OTK. Velen + elemental + Mind Blast + Smite + Smite was 12 damage from hero power + 18 damage from spells :-) It was the best way to finish off other Raza Priests and fatigue decks. Unfortunately now it can’t be done, since Smite doesn’t go face anymore.
In Holy Wrath Paladin, I think the new card, the farmer that shuffles 3 copies of a beast that are 3/3 in stats be better than the banker? That way you get three copies of shirvallah instead of one

I still get cancer from watching the Shudderwok deck. I remember queuing ranked at like rank 22 or something with my budget control warrior deck that I saved up all my dust for, and then this guy with the full shudderwock combo deck came in and ravaged my bootyhole. Turbocringe.
There are dk combos. They just aren't "conventional". I'm not doing a shout-out or anything but markmckz only plays combos on his channel. Would have been great source material for an actual dk combo.

Topsy Turvy combo priest was way too hard for me to play. If I'm remembering correctly it was only consistent for top 200 legend.
There is a morgraine combo deck where you deal like 50 damage at the end of your turn

technically you could have used malygos druid or linecracker druid although those would not have been as entertaining for the video
