Good video. Trying to get an idea what I'm getting myself into for the inaugural BWR in Michigan this October. I'm guessing it will be a similar mix of terrain.
He looked a little nervous/tight the entire time. And I think he was going a little too fast regardless. As I was watching, I was thinking "he looks like he's going in too hot on that corner with obvious loose gravel" and then he immediately went down. If it looks sketchy on video, it's usually worse in person
Hes not getting his outside foot down on the turns, this is a recipe for washing out. He was doing the same thing on the road descent. This is causing his leaning to be spastic and difficult.
Oh man that looks fun. Definitely on my to ride list now. Thanks!
Great video, Alex! Love the channel! Keep up the great work and great cycling
Thanks for posting Alex. Ive been considering doing this ride being new to gravel. Looks like a must do.

way to clean the thunderdome. that was super steep. Awesome video.
How do you get the heads up display? Great video!
Thanks! I am using VirbEdit software to add the data recorded by Wahoo to the GoPro footage.
Awesome. Congratulations. Awesome
Nice job. How long did it take?
I’d like to know that myself.
Any thoughts on why blue bibs washes at 9:30? Did he really lose traction or did he overcorrect from that little initial skid?

Nice clean gauge setup. What did you use? VirbEdit? Race Render?
Thanks! I'm using VirbEdit.
@@AlexRunge53 How many batteries did you go through on the GoPro? 😅
Only 2! But I definitely had to be selective on when to record.
9:30 it was only him who skid .. he must have pressed his brakes hard .. just guessing
I wish you had name some roads or parts of the course
What trail is at 15:30. That looks super nice
That's a private trail opened for the race at REEB Ranch just on the edge of Dupont State Forest. Was definitely a fun trail on gravel bikes
@@AlexRunge53 so we cant ride that.... Sucks. Im watching you oramm 2022 video right now! I know all these trails front and back!
Do you ever see e bikes in these rides? A 28 mph Domane or Creo with gravel tires would be a blast!!
Looks like a lot of work for Belgium 🇧🇪 waffles 🧇
Wow! Can’t believe there were cars on the road for some sections. The tunnel looks scary 😧
its not a closed course lol
Is you HR (bpm) correct, Alex? Maybe that is not your HR.
