Yes I agree! Not many are allowed to get the footage so I am sharing it with the world :) I only started uploading videos since lockdown. I will be making an official video of better quality soon.
@@AllEvilNoPlayAENP well thanks for the reply. Go for it in making videos. My brother spent some of his time photographing me and others... minutes 0:00 - 3:48 there are many different types of motorcycle sounds. after 3:48 minutes there is only 1 motorbike sound, RC 174 is like saying "Sumimasen" (excuse moi) this is just an old man don't take it to heart.
This is one of my favourite things about this bike. I'll upload some Donington circuit ride pasts. It completely over powers all other bikes riding around with the magnificent sound produced by the 6 cylinders.
Not sure if this is the same machine, but I heard a smilar machine fire up at the Jurby Festival that same year (2019). Made the hairs on your arms and neck stand straight up! We could never even parade lap that beauty here in Oregon with sound regulations, would get black flagged and fined for sure! :D I bet everyone is ready to get back to the TT/Manx/Classic when the isle opens back up. Ride well and be safe fella.
I had the pleasure of watching Hailwood scream round Brands Hatch in the 60’s. In the late 80’s I think was at the CRMC Ray Petty day I had the pleasure to warm a six up beautiful. Hard to race myself after that!!!
@@classicraceruk1337 was that the huthinson 10 o meeting when they raced around the circute in the opposite direction and S.M.B lapped the entire field

Too bad there's not more of the bike running/racing, than having everyone standing around. For those who want to actually see/hear the bike running, start at the 4 minute mark.......
The delicate beauty and simplicity of these motorcycles is the ultimate expression of engineering...art. The embodiment of form following function.

Hi!
Pure six sound!
As someone said, there is nothing like these melody, and other bikes seem voiceless!
Bravo, Forza and many thanks!
😉👍🤙
The RC174 plus Mike Hailwood was an almost unbeatable combination
Honda made some outstanding bikes in the 60s

What a crazy sounding bike i just found this bike now !
I'll upload some more drive pasts. Hear it drown out every thing around.
The rc 166 is a bike with the mother of all sound tracks 18,000 rpm 250 cc 6!!! Yes that’s right 6!!!!!

When the RC174 is on, everyone covered their ears 😂 I think this inline 6 are 4x louder than 2 stroke.
It drowns out every thing else on the track.
The yamaha ra31a is also a good contender
I saw Ago, MV3 against Hailwood Honda 6 and the noise was amazing from both. Will never forget it even though was only about 10 years old
wow
even at over 100mtrs the Honda is still louder then the rest of the whole field :-)
Musik in meinen Ohren.....wunderbar......

This is the one. It was also at Jurby a few weeks ago. Unfortunately I was not able to attend due to covid :(
I will get some new footage soon!
People don't realise how difficult it was to ride and win on these fragile machines pure motorcycle racing.
Glad to see full use of protective equipment, including that prototype gut slider...........

Everybody gangsta until that Honda 6 idles .
I have a brilliant still shot of us at Goodwood. A huge crowd around us. All covering their ears.

Great
Just as loud as the MotoGP bikes of now. My friend's RC143 125cc IS VERY LOUD!
That's a bike to wake the neighbours up on a Sunday morning.
It helps then know when to come outside and wave 😅
Absolute beast, shame todays standard :)

Why do they throttle it like that?
Warm up process, this is actually after a lengthy warm up in the pits too. We rebuild the engine every outting too.

You right? I was there. 66 67 68 69 70 71.. mmmm those were the days my friend. As mary hopkins song.
What an era, Read, Ivy, Hailwood, Ago to mention a few. I was there 4 years running and I remember the Honda 6 screaming down Bray Hill - Pure magic.

It is number 2 of 10 replicas made and why should the owner not be allowed to ride his own bike!

where is This ? UK ?
Sort of... Isle of Man..... Between Ireland and England. A small island on the Irish sea.
TT, famous road race.
the closest sound you going to get in a street legal motorcycle like this, is the Honda CBX
This bike has no flywheel. So don't fire it unless your gonna ride it.
It starts at much higher revs than a normal bike too
Cuts off at 4k i think. Sensational 🤩
It needs someone younger on it like guy Martin that'll give it some stick 😁😂
Last time Guy rode one of my grandads bikes he crashed.
john beale the owner ?
No but he built it and was the mechanic for the day.
Think Honda allowed him to build ten of these exact replicas you know the real gp ones when they are surrounded by white overall mechanics from japan
Monster 250cc😰
Great sound but guy with way too nervous gas/throttle hand.
He's retired and following his dream after surviving cancer
I dont think the tires on that bike are rated to carry that much weight
