Nice hike Bonnie! Colchuck Lake is a good one to do. I have been up down Asgard Pass and it is steep and long. I have also climbed Dragontail and Colchuck Peaks from the lake. Just going up the Colchuck Glacier gives you a nice perspective. It is a fun glissade down too! Thanks Bonnie!
I agree. That hike up Colchuck glacier is stupendous. Then such a simple stroll to the top of Colchuck peak. The lake is literally straight down. We did it in June and all had ice axes, solid snow (not slidy), and multiple people to share in kicking steps. Just be aware that people have had falls down the snowfield and so it's not a great beginner trek. So beautiful to see with all that snow!!! Thanks.
Thank you for taking us along today it was a beautiful hike and I thought Dragoon's tail was awesome. You're right about ideal conditions, Thanks again for being my legs.
I just stumbled on your channel today. I thought how fun. So I subscribed and found the content for hiking in Washington State right up my alley. I live in Issaquah Wa. So it Isa short drive to a lot of these destinations
Going up here with my friends for the first time in about a month and maybe (if we're feeling up for it after we're up there) climb up Aasgard pass. Thanks for making these videos
The trail is very clear ans well trodden, and the split is marked by a sign on a tree. I recommend having a gps map to be safe but it's a fairly easy trail to navigate. Have fun!
That is a stunning view, thank you! I’ve been checking permits on the regular, I’m sure I’ll eventually snag one like last year. 😊
If you check regularly there is a pretty good chance of getting one that someone has canceled last minute, good luck!
Really great video. Thank you for sharing it. My wife and I are doing this hike in a few days and have never been there before.
Have fun, it's beautiful up there!
Dragontail, Colchuck mmmemories. I'm going up windy peak in the pasayten this weekend. Great video!

I have had my eye on Dragontail for a while, maybe conditions and timing will permit for a summit this year, we'll have to see.
great vid, one of my favorite places. I got a core permit for later in the summer and looking forward to visiting again.
