Glad I discovered your channel. I’m 75 and unable to hike anymore due to balance issues and two very bad knees (one of which will have surgery in late January). It was such a pleasure to hike along with your family with a minimal amount of talking. Some hiking channels talk and talk and talk. I like your style, and the images are breathtaking. Thanks for posting your hike.
I’m so glad you found the channel! I certainly hope the videos can bring you back to your hiking years and good memories you made. My Dad just went thru both his knees getting replaced so I understand what you’re up against. I appreciate that the videos resonate with you, it’s hard to find that balance of nature, music and narrating that people enjoy. I absolutely love hearing from people like yourself! Cheers!
We're loving all your Washington videos! The Enchantments are on our list to visit. They look amazing! This looks like a great hike, too. Gorgeous views! 🏔
I've watched many of your videos and just love your amazing adventures. I can hear in your voice how passionate you are while in such magnificent scenery. I feel the same way while trekking many trails throughout Northern Colorado. So happy to see a family that hikes together too!
Thanks so much Vickie! I’m glad you’re watching them 😁 I can’t imagine the beautiful stuff you’ve seen living out there in Colorado! I have my eye on some amazing places in Colorado that I want to tackle! Sometimes I can’t believe how blessed I am that my entire family will do this stuff with me.
@@TheMountainMatt I can tell you really research your routes. I do the same. If you ever are looking for first hand experience for Northern Colorado, just reach out. You are a higher class climber than me but I've hiked to many high alpine lakes. I did 703 miles & over 140,000 ft. of elevation gain last year, 2023. I didn't get to do as many new, first time hikes as I'd hoped in 2023. I solo hike a lot and save the new adventures for when my husband can join me. We live near RMNP and summer months are just so crowded but I know remote area that not too many people get to. The whole reservation system is nuts too but you can enter the park without a reservation as long a its way before 5am. Looking forward to your family adventures this year.
Thanks again Vicki! We cut our teeth out in RMNP going up to Sky Pond a bunch of years ago! Absolutely loved it even with the amount of people. I'd definitely go into the park super early to beat the crowds next time we go 👍🏼 Have a great upcoming season out there in the mountains! So excited to share the next bunch of videos with everyone! Cheers!
Curious if any permits are needed? I’m looking for some permit free hikes in that area and some blm/ nat forest to car camp on this summer. Looks like a beautiful place to hike! Kudos!
The parking situation sucks up there so research that for sure. I can’t remember the exact permit situation for that area but I don’t think you need a permit for day hiking but definitely need one for backpacking.
If I had more days to actually be in the mountains that could possibly work 😁 … most of my outings are scheduled months in advance since I don’t have unlimited PTO unfortunately 😂
Enjoyed the grind brotha, wouldn't mind joining one of these hikes on trail with yea, right up my ally. The more suck the better. Never know what's under the next rock. . .
Ive been camping up that way. Depending on the year.the tics can be horrible.tics can be horrible in all the north cascades.you ever deal with having to pull them suckers off after your hikes up there?
If you have dogs 🐕 they can go off leash from White River TH. BAM. If you want to really run them Naneum Meadow. Table Mountain isn't small. 6000+ feet. The best trail 👣 is from meadow up over 1219 to Haney. Warning no water that way.
Icicle Creek sucks. Runs into Jack Jackass loops around to Ingalls Pass. Snow Lake seems the logical choice. BUT personally I am going up Hwy 2 where it divides ➗️ half way up is FS 6400. At Valhalla Lake TH bend in road near top lots of cars parked. .9 miles up to PCT. The TH on other side White River. Is epic. On Mount David low section it splits off to real falls. As stated I go up Teanaway to Esmeralda Basin. I do Longs Pass not Ingalls. Why? Because you cannot even see Mount Stuart from Ingalls. Lake Ann side. And there is an old road down to Ingalls. Creek. Esmeralda Basin loops a bunch of trails. If I go to Enchantments I just go up from Ingalls Creek. Either End. TH is off US97 too.
Nice hiking scenery, however I always have to wonder why so many hiking TH-camrs have to score their films with wierd Techno Music that has nothing to do with the natural surroundings? Just saying...
Check out this video here from the Leavenworth, Washington area 👉🏼 th-cam.com/video/Vsx4IFFapZk/w-d-xo.html

This is such a beautiful area! I enjoyed the footage of your families experience! Stunningly beautiful up there!
Thank you so much! We're having a blast the past few years 😁 cheers!
Cool area. Would have enjoyed a bit more video of the lake.
Thanks for the feed back 😁 I'd love to capture more when we go out but the ladies get kinda testy if I film to much 🤣 I gotta play my cards right
Wise choice.

I agree. It's like turning rocks at the beach @TheMountainMatt

We didn't have any problem then with the ticks. We were there in late September the year before so I think we've missed tick season, thank God.
Is this place open in March?
Yes, I believe so but there will be plenty of snow to deal with.

Different strokes for different folks
I do like the films though!
I'm glad you like the vids. I wish the music choice resonated with you more. Cheers.
