When I was young, my only standard for any relationship, be it friends or more, was that they're nice. But after countless messy friendships and romances, I've learned that nice doesn't necessarily mean they're a good person, and I've had to up my standards as I myself learn to become a better person and understand what it means to be nice versus what it means to be good. I no longer want to settle for nice and nothing more. I want genuine communication and connections, and someone who works with me 9/10 times rather than fighting me tooth and nail the entire relationship. I don't have time for anymore toxic relationships.

Mine is kinda vice versa.
I used to look for whoever makes me feel good and understood. Nobody did, so I'm into guys with strict jaw lines, colorful eyes preferred, with long eyelashes, charming smile and fit body. I can't find that too, so there's no problem🤪☻️

well i'm shit at finances and i have never gone grocery shopping alone so my ideal type is just someone who isn't as bad as i am but when i was younger i would just say a polite boy who would make me laugh, now I discovered that is not enough emotional intelligence is so important and it's crazy the amount of people who don't have it🙄 I find myself annoyed everytime I realize men that i found attractive just one year ago become a chore to talk to because their mentality is so different from mine anyways yall stay safe😭

I have a best friend who is turning 50. Well, I don't think he knows that he is my best friend because we have such a big age gap but I'd say he is. I enjoy helping with his chores and just going on a car ride or shopping. I even went to his workplace and helped him out for a week. And that was after only a year of knowing him. He would be my ideal type. Extremely funny and actually shows that he cares about me by his actions.
Honestly, even now, my partner isn't my ideal type because there's no way I'll ever find someone who is going to be absolutely perfect. But I'm glad I found someone who I can have fun with when we grocery shop, travel, cook and plan our future. It really is all about the smaller things.

I think “types” change as your needs change and you learn more about yourself. when you’re young it’s easy to focus on appearance because neither of you even know yourselves, let alone who someone else is or will become. (My opinion, I don’t think it’s Impossible to find a partner young, in fact I did just that. but I don’t think it’s a realistic expectation for most people, especially passionately independent people it may take more to make it worth the loss of some of those independent freedoms.)
