My tip would be to have lint/hair free clothes. I own a dog, and so many outfits are ruined if I don't de-shed myself from his fur. Also, moisturized hands! Sounds odd, but I always notice people's hand, so I try my best to keep mine soft as I work with my hands often.
this one! I wear mostly black but our pets shed like crazy, I always feel so uncomfortable in public if I notice I'm covered in pet hair. I keep a lint roller right by the door now.
I have a husky so I've basically given up at this point. Certain fabrics pick up pet hair differently, so a good idea would be to choose fabrics that don't pick up hair, or colours that match your pets.
A tip for my girlies who like to have nice nails alw : invest in small business instead of salons ! My regular nail tech charges me only 35$ per nail art + nail extensions when salons charge 80$ for plain colour + nail extensions. Super grateful for her :]
Really enjoyed this video, especially without aggressive 'you MUST do this or else..' attitude. I recently started blowdrying my hair and it really boosted the 'put together' aspect, but definitely willing to try heatless options for short hair. Another thing that i recently found working was having a pair of classy looking shades. Like those with thick frames. And, of course, accssories. But I haven't learnt how to 'style' properly just yet
I always look forward to my self care time. It’s so important to show up for yourself and remind yourself that you’re worthy of putting an extra few minutes into your look in the morning to feel better.
Curly hair sleeping tip for anyone in need - I like to sleep with my dry hair up in a pineapple (ponytail on top of my head) with a satin scrunchie. Then my hair is ready to go in the morning without any frizz or dents
Ok, so I've wanted to ask, I have wavy hair, but I always tend to braid it, cause I don't like ponytails or open hair, if I sleep in a braid, my waves are just whoosh, gone. And I am left with a frizzy mess in the morning, which looks bad even if I braid it. Any tips?
@@Gc4840 I'm not a hair expert but try using a hair cream and/or oil (depending on how fine or thick your hair is) and sleeping with a satin scarf or bonnet to keep the frizz to a minimum, then give your hair a nice shake and fluff in the morning to get your volume back. There are curl-activating creams and gels out there that can work for wavy hair, or you could go with the simple route with hair oil or homemade flax gel (very easy to make). There are also a lot of great hair tutorials on TH-cam that give advice on wavy hair. See if you can find someone with hair like yours and see what their hair routine is
For any girls or boys who want a good regular nail polish that lasts a long time, I've been using the brand Halo Taco for years and it lasts me over a week easily with no chipping! It's also pretty affordable for the quality and compared to how much they'd charge at a nail salon. Just a little recommendation I thought I'd throw out there for anyone wondering if they can do their nails on a budget :)
YOU ARE SO BEAUTIFUL! As a grown woman, I want you to never let the trolls make you feel any less than beautiful. You are a growing creator and it sucks to get negative feedback, remember to always be grateful for them. The more hate you get, the more successful you are!
I’ve been doing my own nails using only ordinary polish for years now and I can say it feels great! Having my nails done helps me feel so much more put together. I almost always use the same warm pale pink color that is honestly not that noticeable and I love it. You don’t have to break the bank to have your nails done.
Love this video especially about the good posture, jewelry and neutral tones. Personally I have been doing heatless curls unintentionally since college. When your hair is about 80% dry, twist it into a bun. Also about the nails, I do love a polished gel nail BUT be careful with such frequent UV exposure. I am still researching the best way to mitigate the risks with UV but to be on the safe side I just keep my nails well-trimmed with clear normal polish. After I apply face moisturizer I always drag the product down my neck, hands and ELBOW. ;)
Thank you so much for not gatekeeping this stuff. I’m 32 and generally feel like I need a lot of help with my style. I just found out about LTK because of you and you’re the only one a follow!! You are so put together and seriously so classy. I’m going to try to emulate you and your advice and see if I can be more stylish. Thank you so much for sharing these simple tips!!! 🎉❤❤
All great tips! I would add - learn to press your clothes! It's amazing what ironing can do to even a plain cotton t-shirt. It can truly transform an outfit
a tip about having your nails done: a really good nail polish alternative is dashing diva, you can find them at target! its stickers (i think?) but ive been using them for years and years. no drying time, no chipping, no nail damage, no acetone removal, super cute designs, and lasts over 2 weeks if you follow the instructions. each pack is like $7 and gives me 2-3 manicures each!
My number one way to look more put together is to always have clean shoes😅 and by clean I mean just not very dirty. Makes your outfit and you look much more polished!
If you're not into gels for any reason, I've started taking better care of my natural nails using cuticle oil and then adding clear polish/clear with a pink tint. If you do a good enough job this should last 5-7 days. It's easy to remove and gives you a sort of "natural french manicure" look. I also trim any hangnails that pop up in the week.
I just wanted to say that I love finding people with my exact body type on here! No two people are precisely the same but I love seeing what clothes look best on others before I spend my money lol. Just subscribed :)
Love this video!! A tip for jewlery: Match the shapes of youre earrings to youre necklace and vice versa. If you have heart shaped earrings then you can pair them with a heart shaped necklace. If you have a butterfly necklace, then you can match with butterfly earrings! It really ties the whole outfit together. Even with something simple like a circle, or rhinestones. Also when youre shopping you can look out for jewelery pieces that you could match with things you already have
Yes to choosing the right colour for your skin tone 💕 I apply this to nails as well, I prefer an understated look so I go for a subtle French tip, no super white tip. If you are a cool undertone like me, I use the brand Essie and make a slim tip with Allure and I paint my nails with two coats of Mademoiselle. I finish with the Essie gel top coat and it lasts me two weeks which is really very good for regular nail polish. Also make sure to cap the tips because that’s where the nails chip very easily. Sorry that was such a long comment but I hope it helps someone 😊
My one tip would be to invest in a portable steamer for your clothes. This is a life changer for me! I always steam my wrinkly clothes whenever I'm going out, and I would instantly look put together! Also, maybe invest in clothing that doesn't wrinkle easily
Love the video! You reminded me of things I used to know but have forgotten over time. Color especially! I’ve been online shopping more and it’s been harder to avoid buying colors that look meh on me. I used trial and error to figure out my color season and that’s helped a lot in looking effortlessly good.
this video helped me so much thank you!! i especially love the bobby pin trick, going to have to try that out! Another tip that is very useful is to use tinted lib balm or lipstick that match ur skin tones. Ex: So like my skin tone is a bit brown so I'll use more darker shades of red, while people who have more lighter skin tones could use more light and baby pinks. Hope this helps!
Jewelry from tj maxx or Marshall’s are a great price for jewelry that lasts so long as long as you take good care of them. I have jewelry from there that I bought 2 years ago but still look great!
Also as someone with super straight hair that almost never holds curls, when i let it dry completely then add mouse its the only time curls stay so for people who struggle with curling their hair, id definitely recommend it. Like heat doesnt work for me
Grow in your lashes and brows with caster oil and then dye them darker with Just For Men's Beard Dye. In the morning, slap on some lash extensions (only on the end of your lashes for that cat-eye look) and then your ready to go.
A tip for your sister, coming from someone with thick coarse hair: using a setting foam or a light-holding gel combed/brushed through damp hair before pin rolling your hair at night will give you a hairstyle that stays curled for at least two days.
I'm very happy with the LYXBAG package. Beautiful storage compartments. Looks and feels like leather. The shoulder straps and zipper are of high quality. Very happy with the purchase.
My fave tip is to use a wax stick for flyaways + do not be shy to trim the baby hairs around your ears to the they are easier to tuck behind your ears!
My tip for clothing is the one colour rule. Black-White-Grey definitely work together. It's a classy combination. You can basically add any other colour you like. And the outfit will still look well put together. For me, I really love baby pink and lavendel. I also love baby blue but I'm more into rosa. Although lighter colours are a great combination with white. While dark colours looks nice with black. A timeless and classy wardrobe for me means no logos, no prints or at least decent logos. A plain white shirt is better than a shirt with graffiti on it. Word prints is allowed. Prints like delicate flowers are also allowed. If you're into leopard print go ahead but I'm more into flower delicate style. If I wear black I'm definitely appear more edgy. I have plain skirts and shirts in different colours.
Great tips. I think if you keep your nails neat and buffed you don’t need to spend money or time on nail polish. I also really love London Town nail concealer. It’s so pretty and subtle.
I totally agree with point #3. Sometimes jewelry can make an outfit 10x better! My go-to are big & dangly earrings. Personally, I love color in my outfits but recently I've also been incorporating more neutrals into my wardrobe as well as gold/silver jewelry sets (necklaces, earrings, rings), especially for work outfits cuz it looks more professional. Could you make a guide for the “shoujo/hachicore” aesthetic? I’m not too sure of the exact name of this style, but I would love to see a guide for it!! 😊
Thank you for spelling out the cost of doing your own gel manicures! I'm surprised to hear about some variety packs of polish being so cheap! I guess I had assumed a bottle would be $10-15 each, and like $100 for the lamp! Seriously blown away at those packs, not even a dollar per color 🤯 they are pretty small, but you can get the full size of your favorites later.
Omg thank youu!! 10:18 I struggle with this and I finally figured out why haha. Thank you so much Julianna, not to mention the hair pin method will definitely be a game changer for me, when I first clicked on video I was about to comment on how you curl your hair, I am so glad I found your video
I love this tips and honestly they do make such a big difference Although I am not great at styling clothes for myself as I am more on the curvier side it becomes difficult to know what to wear and what not I would appreciate if someone had any tips on this And for people with wavy hair that are thick remember our hair gets frizzy more often what I like to do is use a good oil based serum on damp hair to control the frizz and brush out my hair after they are fully dry leaving a very subtle wavy hair which looks almost blow dried Since my hair doesn’t hold curls any other method doesn’t seem to work for me

Could you make a guide for the “shoujo/hachicore” aesthetic? I’m not too sure of the exact name of this style, but I would love to see a guide for it!! 😊
if elegance was a person then it's definitely you ❤

🤗happy you’re here!

I love this tips and honestly they do make such a big difference
Although I am not great at styling clothes for myself as I am more on the curvier side it becomes difficult to know what to wear and what not I would appreciate if someone had any tips on this
And for people with wavy hair that are thick remember our hair gets frizzy more often what I like to do is use a good oil based serum on damp hair to control the frizz and brush out my hair after they are fully dry leaving a very subtle wavy hair which looks almost blow dried
Since my hair doesn’t hold curls any other method doesn’t seem to work for me
You look gorgeous!
