The knights are awesome on the charge and you do need to get them moving, so withdrawing by the tactics board is a must. Crossbows need to sit behind a marsh or corpse pile to prevent early charges and use the attack option on the tactics board to punch out early hurt. Also take a Guard captain or these will be targeted with panic tests and deleted quickly.
Just got myself the core boxed set and excited to get stuck in. I decided on the Lannisters and this is a very helpful video on what to get next. I'll have to paint up both armies that came in the set since no one at my game store plays! Ugh. Gonna take me a while to paint 100 minis...
Great Videos, I came to this game late. I have had a hard time finding the Knights in stock. So I added the Bolton Cav until I can. The other two I have picked up.
I got some Knights of Casterly Rocks, some Clegane Brigands and some Crossbows. Then I got some Lannister Heroes and some Red Cloacks. The Knights really fail me every single game they are the magnet that draws enemy fire ... I have some Tully Cavaliers they are just better unfortunately. Maybe I need to hold back the Cavaliers for a while. The Brigands can be a great value, mobile and can really hurt units already worn down by Lannister attrition.
I’m thinking of getting some Bolton blackguards and Lannister heroes 1 because of the synergies with sandor clegane and Tywin with the blackguards do you have any opinions on that?
Those are great options, with the 2021 update coming we'll have to see if there are any tweaks to the Bolton Blackguards. That being said, neutral forces like that are a great unit investment as you can use them in all sorts of lists (except free folk... 😭)
Loving these videos. I bought the starter box along with an outriders and Tully swordsmen box sets

It's worth it though! You need to display the true Wealth of the Rock! Where abouts in the world are you playing?
On the Table Gaming absolutely! A Lannister always pays their debts! I hale from the eastern side of westeros in Philadelphia, PA. How about you?
@@mattcappelli5822 CT! Maybe I'll bump into you at Pax Unplugged!
On the Table Gaming nice! East coast represent! Will there be a tourney at Pax).

Another great option!
Having a hard time finding the crossbow squad lol
What about a scorpion crew
The Scorpion crew is for the Night’s Watch Faction only and may not be fielded in a Lannister army!
Thanks for these tips! I'm going to be splitting this box with my partner and she's very excited to crush the Starks with Lannister knights
Good luck in your battles to come!

But what do I do if I’ve bought loads of all of them?!
Share with your friends! 😛
Thank you for the information, would it be worth buying an additional box of Lannister guardsmen the to go with starter set I already own
You could, but that is a very specific and somewhat limited list you would build with the extra guardsmen. I would suggest starting with other units.
On the Table Gaming thank you for clearing that up
nice videos and all but where are the batreps?^^
“Soon!”TM
