- Music from the official soundtrack to Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Dual Destinies. Support the game when it releases on the Nintendo eShop on October 24th, 2013!
This track's Japanese name is "Kizuki Kokone ~ Houtei no Kakumei", literally "Athena Cykes ~ The Courtroom's Revolution". The first English trailer translated that title as "Bringer of Revolution", but the more recent trailer gave her the somewhat more accurate title of "Courtroom Révolutionnaire", so I've updated this track title to match.

Ok maybe it’s just me but it’s high time Athena got her own game. I think it would be cool to centre it more on psychology and the emotional aspects of the legal world and maybe we could even get a female prosecutor seeing as we haven’t had one since von karma

When I first saw promo stuff for Athena, I didn't think I'd be very fond of her, but within a minute of meeting her in game, I began to really like her.
I really liked her voice in the cutscenes, and the way she acts as character just seemed to click for me
6 years late but i like her a lot too, just by looking at her design i liked her but when i got to meet her i liked her even more, especially her theme

Athena really grew on me as a character. On the hands of a lesser writer, she would be a mary sue, but she's actually a very well executed character. This game is still awesome.
I wish Athena was playable in another case. Phoenix got WAAAY too much time. I like Phoenix and all, but if we have new characters they should have more time. Apollo was sort of short on playability but his role as an AWOL avenger gave him excuse.

Noticed something ? You play as Athena, the new major character, in case 3, the case that represents the CENTER of the game. Basically, she's put at the center of the game herself.

***** Yeah, sorry about that. My mind was still fresh from completing Case 5, and at the time, I thought I remembered Case 4 stopping after the bombing happened and Case 5 starting when Phoenix takes over.
Cameron Chyun When the writer did a Q&A, he said that since Phoenix is the main character(hence the reason why the localization team named the game 'Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney: DD'), the game will take focus on him, and that Apollo is also the key character. So the game natually felt like Phoenix was the main protagonist.
I love ace attorney so much, it shaped me into who i am today, i will never forget anybody like the cast of characters these games have

Ryonosuke is good at reading people eyes.
Athena is good at reading people's heartbeats and overall has really good hearing.
Apollo has good eye for little details.
Edgeworth has really good logical deduction skills.
Phoenix got a magatama.
Ryunosuke had a Sherlock.
Phoenix reads lies. Athena and Apollo wouldnt have special perception without their gadgets either. Ryunosuke doesnt even read eyes, he waits for Herlock to do it first and then look for what they were pointing at.
Edgeworth has the power of common sense.

I love how they make Athena's theme, "Let's Do This!", into the song. It's such a minor detail that makes the music perfect.
We want Athena Cykes : Ace Attorney.
I'm of two minds about that idea.
On one hand, she is the only one of the main cast with any sort of arc left to follow. She's been reliant on others every time she handles a case and so an arc of becoming self-reliant could work.
On the other hand, the Mood Matrix is an awful mechanic and any game starring Athena will natually put that shit front and center.

This is my all-time favourite piece of music from this game. Every time I hear it, I immediately think of its title "Courtoom Revolutionnaire", and I think yes: Athena IS a courtroom revolutionnaire. It gives me chills.
The fact that you're so far into the case before you finally hear this makes it more impactful to me.
It's like the thing is saying "I've finally gotten somewhere! I know I can do this now!"

one of the best parts was that when you really start playing as athena, and raise an objection it doesn't play at first because athena was just bluffing, but when she actually starts speaking facts, this begins to play

Jeez, I _love_ hearing this theme after it feels like everything's turning hopeless. Then all of a sudden you hit on a big break to turn the whole case on its head, and Athena Cykes is BACK ON THE ATTACK!

Hope Ace Attorney 7 has more focus on Athena. While I did love her team up with Blackquill in 6, she really should have had a bigger role.
I want more Athena and Simon action, it would be cool to see him continue his role as her mentor, and we could see her school witnesses like he does. Also I love their chemistry.

There doesn't seem to be any more tragic backstory of hers to elaborate on right now but that certainly never stopped Apollo!
Honestly I don't really think you need to develop more backstory as an excuse to make her the focus, especially if there's already a backstory. They could easily say she was holding back on being the best lawyer she could be because of the stuff with her mom and testifying in court, but now that she has closure she can start developing more on her own two feet as a skilled lawyer (did she already do that idk I forgot). It at least seems like we'll get more stand-alone cases with Athena since they gave her a 'test run' with 6-4, and all they have to do is tie her character development in with an overarching plot and we have an Athena game, if this is how it ends up going then we get to see more blackquill too so yay. Oh um I spent too long thinking about that its midnight now and I have an exam tomorrow oops ok byebye now.
I hope so. I think Apollo already had his highlight with 6. Athena needs a case where she has her "graduation"phase. Trials and tribulations was it for phoenix and Spirit of Justice was it for Apollo.
I'd like to see Blackquill become her main rival in court much like how Edgeworth and Klavier were for Phoenix and Apollo that could be cool

I really love listening to this theme. Athena's themes are always bright and cheerful. She's one of my favourite characters .
Although Athena was new & had to receive spotlight; I kind of wish they had more Phoenix | Apollo interaction. I mean c'mon, he was the one who was holding down the fort when Phoenix was disbarred. He was the one who looked up to Wright & kept going as a lawyer even when everything seemed to be against him in the Dark Age of the Law. It would be interested to see how their ideals & ways of thinking clash with each other; inside the courtroom & during an investigation.
But you got that interaction in Apollo Justice:AA, if they didnt focus on her as much, you wouldn't be as invested in her backstory/not care as much. Besides, they have the next game to flesh out the relationships between the 3 attorneys.
I felt like Apollo had a more distinct character in this game, especially when it comes to the whole Clay thing. As in, people he knew were involved. Phoenix had that, with Larry, Edgey, etc. Heck, Athena had that too. And Apollo was given more of a backstory than the crap that was in his own game. You know nothing about him until the last case, where you find out stuff HE doesn't know? What? I was actually a little disappointed that they didn't develop that more. Mind you, they probably didn't want any spoilers for people that haven't played AJ.

thing is Athena so far barely got an spotlight. She's in the same position Apollo was in his first game. But that's how it is for every main character in the series. The first game they are in are always about solving an arc involving their mentor/superior and their rival with a tragic past and an old unsolved mistery in the middle. DL-6 Involved an investigation Mia could never finish, and Edgeworth past wich was in part shared with Phoenix. AJ arc involved Phoenix losing his badge and Klavier being heavily involved in that trial with Trucy and Apollo past involved in that . And in Athena's case it involved Apollo's friend and mr Simon- i love being a prisoner- Blackquill, being both Simon and Athena very involved in a past unsolved case.
In Apollo's case he's got a very good personal arc with Spirit of Justice, So i bet the next game final chapter is going to be for Athena. More when Spirit of justice completely left her out of the main story until a final bit.
This is like something straight outta a Magical Girl anime when the characters are going to transform or make a dramatic entrance xP

I love how in Dual Destinies the only case where we play her is (for me at least) the best case of the game and one of the best Ace Attorney case.
She also gets a case in AA6. Though it’s either you like it or hate it filler case.

I love Athena. I think, she's a great character who fits the Ace Attorney series well. Dual Destinies was a very good sequel, especially the last two cases. Hopefully Capcom will announce AA6 in 2014. Looking forward to meet god ol' Maya again. :-)

She should have been the protagonist. The only case she has an excuse to not be the protagonist is in the fifth one because she gets arrested, but during the rest of the game she could have just been the protagonist and I hate they chose to not do that.

Sad isn't it? I like Apollo but man, they really couldn't decide what to with his character. Dude's got 2 different backstories in Dual Destinies and Spirit of Justice and it just feels tacky to me. Athena's story in this game was good and I'm sad she was shafted in Spirit of Justice

Athena is awesome in every way!
I love this song. It fits Athena so well. She's girly, but not to the point of being cliché. She's strong, but not a social justice delusion. When she goes on the attack, she's the princess of the courtroom. In this dark era of feminism, nobody knows what a real female character is anymore. Athena is one, and that's why it's so fun and refreshing to see her story. The potential to mess up with her was huge, but Capcom NAILED it.

I just figured it out that this theme and Reminisence: A Sad Memory are the same. The Reminiscence is a slow Sad mood version. Someone should make a video with that reference I found. Also I do not know who noticed it before me so that is something to figure out

Kinda reminds me of Castlevania in some parts, mixed with Ace Attorney. Best Objection theme of all three in the game, IMO.
I felt the same way about a lot of the music in this game. I got some strong Castlevania vibes from this soundtrack as a whole.
