Spider-Man: Across The SpiderVerse Is Almost Perfect

So, in today's video, I talk about Spider-Man: Across The SpiderVerse, which has finally come out after nearly 5 years of anticipation. I absolutely adored the movie and was one of my favorite superhero movies in recent memory. It's practically a perfect movie; however, there are a few gripes I have, although they're pretty small! I dont' know, this might be my personal favorite Spider-Man movie. I honestly think that people who say Raimi's Spider-Man is still the best is just clinging to nostalgia. These movies are just fucking art from start to finish. I can't stop thinking about the scenes with Gwen and her Father, truly just an emotional gut punch from start to finish. I can't wait for Beyond the Spider-Verse, and yeah, like you, I wouldn't mind if it got delayed if it means the quality is as good as this. Great video!

Thanks! And I don't know, the Raimi movies are people's favorite for a reason, and that's because they are genuinely really good, but it's undeniable that the SpiderVerse movies are masterful as well. But glad you loved the movie too!

Amazing video! You deserve so many more views and subs for this quality! I'd also probably give the movie a 9. I wasnt a fan of how they depicted Ben Reilly, and i dont think a lot of the Spider-men would've ended up agreeing with Miguel imo. Still a pheonemnal movie, but i had a few gripes. Into the SpiderVerse still unmatched frrr

Thanks so much!! I definitely understand the complaint about all the Spider-people siding with Miguel, but it makes sense to me with out them explaining it. We understand Miles more, but his decision is definitely not as sound as the Spider society to me. I think it's a very nuanced moral dilemma that was such a brilliant idea. Nice hearing your thoughts!

Honestly, it almost every way, this movie is superior than the first one! I just needed more closure on the ending, but that's for beyond the spiderverse to do. Glad you liked it too!

@@Machuw Yeah I am one of the few not bummed with the ending, because I already knew it was happening and there was just wayyy to much going on 30/40 minutes before the ending that I checked the time and was like okay yeah this is for the next movie
I really love the ending As a Setup but also as a conclusion to this movie because everything in the movie leads up to those points and we'll see fully fleshed out miles and Gwen(but also other characters) now react to what will happen next, can't wait
