Spring break of my senior year of high school. I was told we were driving to N. Carolina. I jumped into my friend’s caravan and as we pulled out of my driveway my friends all looked at me and said “by the way, we’re going on Phish tour.” Hands down best time of my life. I had no idea how lucky I was to see them in 94.
As a die hard 97 fan.. I would happen to agree. In terms of the sheer flawless yet completely out of this world improvisational jams and segues … this is the year for you. I happen to love the dirty dance parties of 97 more, but I’d have killed to see them in 94, for obvious reasons… exhibit a. #dialed

I think this was the show I rode to from the previous venue in a tiny compact car in the backseat with Fishman. We played the car ABC game, Im going on a trip and I'm bringing.....good times :) He was a nice guy.
I was on West Coast Summer Tour at the time of this Show with The Dead if I knew know what I should've back than I would have been on Tour with Phish instead of the Dead because as we all know now Dead Tour was Overdone by 1994 but I was Young & Stupid & wanted to be on Tour now I know I was on the Wrong Tour all along Sincerely your phriend Jack Straw!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Foreshadowing the Bass Drum of Doom in the fall of 95. I'm still waiting for an explanation from the band or Paul, if it was room acoustics, mic placement, kick drum change, or some combination thereof.
94 Best year of the phish

their greatest year
Without question. They went on to do some insane stuff from thereon out, but in terms of pure virtuosity, 94 might be the peak. For me, at least.
Agreed.
100%
You are objectively correct.

Harry Hood on this show is a hidden gem!
Peak Ernest.
Sweet!! Thank you for this gem
Looks like a Modulus for the second set. I wonder how often he played other basses prior to the switch in '97.
This is awesome, thank you!

Anyone know a Zack Parr? He probably went to this one. He was a chef, from Ohio.
He was my good friend and sadly passed away some years ago now.
