Beautiful work! I prefer this method…feeding in the hair to the braiding. I rather get the length they want instead of getting a shorter length and adding hair at the twist(tho it’s cheaper)run the risk of losing the hair at the twist point. I love this!

Awesome Job. I have a question I started my loc journey with braids on my natural hair that has since been interlocked. I'm 5 month locked. Is it to late to add human hair to the braided portion of my hair? I have to braid my ends at least once a month
No you can totally add some to the braided section. Just make sure to use small bits of hair so not allot of extra weight will be added to the root!

Hello! Love you work! I had locs once before and had them instant loc’d with human hair extensions. I noticed odor in the hair. Is that about the type of hair being used for the extension or how frequently they’re being washed? Any thoughts would be helpful since I’d like to start again but don’t want to run into these issues. Also, I want extensions for length not thicknesses. Ideally I would start with two strand twists and have the extension start midway or further down the twist. Is that advised?
Hi! So first, please excuse the delay> I try to work my way through the comments as often as I can. As for the odor.. it could be anything. If you haven't already, try an apple cider vinegar rinse. I wouldn't advise adding the hair further down.. especially with twist.. they are more likely to slip.If you were think of getting braids then further down wouldn't necessarily be a problem.

How to keep the hair moisturizer?

Question: I did micro twist with extensions 4 months ago. I would love to go permanent with human hair. Now to start over, should I take out all the braids and detangle my hair or is it possible to start over with the micro ‘braids’ already sectioned?
Thank you!!! Did you start with synthetic hair? If so I would suggest combing all those out and starting fresh.

Beautiful job my questions how long can you get them to start off? I would like them 16 inches are longer even though my hair is about the length of your client that you just did is that possible
So far the longest I’ve seen then hair needed for this style is 18 inches. The hair is curly so the length is disguised of course

Lol… yes they will loc. How long it takes someone’s hair to loc depends on their own texture and daily care

@@ShardelHadenok so I figured it out. When I’m feeding and twisting the hair it kind of breaks apart. In the video you have a full strand, mine never stays a full strand enough to just braid

Yes, it’s a retie. Essentially yes, depending on the length of the extension hair that is available

Congrats on starting your journey! I would suggest making sure you mist them mist daily, then seal with an oil. If you need something a little more heavier sometimes you can use this www.fabulocs.com/product-page/intense-moisture-therapy

I haven’t worked out since I got my Locs installed and it’s bothering me🙏🏾
I would say get then in a style. Maybe twist or braid them up when working out.

Hi! These are intended to be permanent. You can’t ask them out with water and allot of conditioner.

Hi! So, in the beginning there is some slippage, of course. But as your hair locks with the hair, everything becomes uniform.
I noticed you used a different type of brand this go around. Which do you prefer?
Also, when you’re creating your grid what type of gel were you using in the beginning?
Thank you for your comment! So I actually prefer the Milky Way brand, and that’s only because it’s pre-stretched. It makes it easier to grab and add in. For my grid in the beginning I like to use a lightweight gel, I used shine n jam for this one ☺️

What all products do you spray on after install?
After the install, I spray water with lemon grass and tea tree essential oils in it on the hair. Then I add a moisturizing cream. My favorite one is from fabulocs and it’s called intense moisture therapy. Then I follow up with an oil! Done ☺️

You want to make sure you’re adding a safe amount to each section. That will help prevent long term thinning

Are you referring to the hair or the style?
With extensions, can I still dye my hair or is it not recommend?
You can definitely dye it but I would suggest either dyeing your hair beforehand or waiting til you locs are loc'd and secure so the dye doesn't ruin the integrity of your new locs.

I think familocs on amazon has a bit of a curlier texture.. that brand would probably work best for this texture

I got this hair but I don’t know if I’ll like it. When it dries, the hair gets stiff. Did it happened to your client’s hair?
If that has happened to my clients I make sure we make some changes to their hydration routine. That's helps with that issue allot

I pretty sure it's probably treated some type way before packaging. However, there is no smell. You can always give the hair a apple cider rinse to clean off whatever might be on the hair

The hair locs with your hair… you don’t need to add anymore hair. Your hair will grow with the extension hair locing into it.

No problem at all! Lol. The hair is added near the top so essentially if you decided to comb them out you would be combing the entire loc out. You can snip this as they grow though. I am located in Waldorf MD
