A tip for the fruits, I find if you break open the grapes peas and etc. They’re more likely to eat it because sometimes it’s hard for them to burst open the fruits hence why they go for the seeds they’re used to
God bless you guys for what your doing. I love all animals, love dogs but parrots are special.......very special. I couldnt imagine my life without my clan. The sad thing is, they will most likely out live me. I am very concerned about that..My latest addition. to my featbered family is Icky ( Ickarus) a sulphur crested too.I love this little man.He has. bitten me only twice and they werent bad bites. Everyday we get closer, BUT. I feel guilty because the parrot friends. Ive had long before him are getting outwardly jealous and its very hard to deal with.Anyway thanx
Create a pet trust if you can. Contact a trust lawyer about this. If you can find someone to whom you can pass them along, then giving them a trust will ensure that your flock is well taken care of. I worry about my birds too. My health isn't the best, and I don't know anyone who would be able to take care of them. God knows, I don't want them to end up in a cage somewhere or in a terrible rescue. So many people just don't understand parrots.
Barbara Heidenreich has great information about how to handle parrots without using force. Check her out. My avian vet introduced me to her and I have learned so MUCH! She has a great video on body language and how to avoid bites; and videos about aggression and how to handle bird-human aggression and bird-bird aggression, etc.
I didnt know that we have to train baby parrots to eat by itself frm the beginning .. now he is grown up and we are facing a lots of problem as if he doesn't know how to eat by himself . ... plzz give me some suggestion .. how can i help my parrot to eat by himself
