People who redicule those (like Jan) who are sent by God to call them to repent are the same people like the ones in the Old Testament times who rediculed or even killed the prophets who also called people to repent. These people say they read the Bible but they do not see that they make the same exact mistake.

finalcall07 - a man at my church who is a pastor told me that i could sin willfully and die in my sin and still go to heaven. i then asked him how that was so, he replied and told me that since we are now under the new covenant, jesus took the punishment for our sin. so i would still go to heaven if i died in my willful sin. Unlike, (he continued) in the old covenant where you would go to hell because he had not paid for your punishment, no grace. i told him that i did not believe him. i also asked him saying " so that means i can do whatever i want and be ok?" he said " no, grace is not a get out of hell free card, is not a license to sin" he is basically saying that grace will cover you if you die in your willful sin so that you won't go to hell, but it is not an excuse to sin. his explanation makes no sense to me, because of what Ezekiel 33:13 says. i know it is an " old covenant" verse, but Jesus is the word of God incarnate, and God Himself was the one who spoke this word here in this verse, so it must be God's Word here, making it infallible. and also, Jesus is the same yesterday today and forever, the word of God does not change, not even under the transition from the old covenant to the new covenant. Is what he is saying wrong? or right?
