It's because driving school doesn't teach it realistically. They leave you a 20m gap to parallel park in, same in the driving test, the gap is long enough for a semi to parallel park into it 😂 and then people have their license but can't do simple maneuvers
@@rossrobson1045 its very simple, if u can parallel park on the driving test then u can do it anywhere. depending where but some test actually make u parallel park on the streets with other cars
Only video i have seen so far on parallel car park, where someone mentioned that you need to give a good look around before starting the procedure-you’re an awesome driver👍👍👍
That's exactly what i though I would def go back and redo that. That's why I was wandering why we didn't get a last pic of the position, obviously is out.
The fact that even she was like “this is a pretty tight spot…” but this is the amount of space my dps gives you to parallel park in your test… hence why I failed my first try.
@@shadow_k1ng277 that’s not true, they prefer you to keep a distance on the test for some reason on the test. In real life obviously get as close to the kerb as possible.
Passed my test a long time ago so I might be wrong but if you are parked further from the kerb it's easy to get close when you are into the space. Or can't you do that on the test
Ive been teaching my son to drive, but couldnt explain a good way to parallel park. Saw this video, tried it myself... Amazing! Took son out, explained it once and he nailed it first time! I might tell him at some point that it wasn't my idea😉😂. Thanks! Keep up the good work!
My friend is learning to drive and her instructor says a drain (about 1 foot) distance is fine, my view is if it’s a foot or more away from curb you’ve just stopped the car and not parked
Where are the observations that’s question? People are saying she is so distant from the curb which might be a fair thing to stress on but observations all around the car is vital otherwise it is a straight fail.
I would say the distance was ok but for some reason she skipped the straighten the wheels after the 45 degree so she could of got closer to the kerb then when closer full lock.
You start way too far for the parked car. You have to basically be almost against the parked car in front to start with. Also, in real life, you would be blocking two lanes while doing this....
So I can't understand why the big cars have to squeeze always in, like look for another spot where you don't threaten to damage one of the cars or the other one maybe is not so good and you squeeze him maybe between you and someone else
It’s because a TH-cam ‘short’ video must be less than 60 seconds so we run out of time! Click the link for the full video where everything is shown. 👍🏼
We didn’t have time to show the final position in this video - click the link in the description to watch the full video and see how we really finished. 👍🏼

In INDIA that much space we park two car
Now try and parallel park with a semi, or lorry as our friends across the pond say.
It wasn't straight u didn't show final result
Been driving for over 4 years and have so far avoided parallel parking between cars
😂😂

Kerb's in another postcode!😂

But she'd still fail the exam in my country. No turn signal on. Instant fail.
@@taavi948 and when she put reverse hazzard light had to be put on....Karens should not teach how to drive.
Parallel parking is easy. The hard part is being close to the curb in the end. Just hope someone doesn't take your mirrors I guess😂
Don’t worry - in the full version of this video we show that we finish closer to the kerb. 👍🏼
Do you need to turn on the left light?
Everytime I parallel park with both tyres front and back side slightly touching the curb, felt like a champ 😆
Look at how far from the kerb you are!
That's exactly what i though I would def go back and redo that. That's why I was wandering why we didn't get a last pic of the position, obviously is out.
Lol 😂
At least you are in
Yep definitely a little far from the kerb. Would probably pass but not great to be the only car sticking out like that.
Yeah 😂
And book a taxi to the kerb.
When it's not showing your face, I just hear Dawn French explaining how to parallel park 😂
You were too far from the kerb, you failed. lol
Good enough for me lol
@@beebbeeb3148eventually you’ll come back to your car to see your mirror hanging.
That’s why the video was cut off before the end 😂
Trust me it’s not parked. There is hell of gap and you didn’t show it to us 😂😂😂
You could get a jumbo jet in the kerb gap you left
Hahaaaaaaa 🤣
Just what I need, I'm about to give my exam
It's great to look at it and practice.
The fact that even she was like “this is a pretty tight spot…” but this is the amount of space my dps gives you to parallel park in your test… hence why I failed my first try.
She didn’t even look😂😭
she did
But after you should park thar in less than 5second
Don't do this in the exam guys, that's too far from the kerb
Actually anything 50cm or closer to the kerb will pass the driving test.
@@AdvanceDrivingSchool 50cm is almost 2 feet, that's way too wide from the kerb. The max an examiner will allow is 1 or 1½ feet
@@AdvanceDrivingSchool yeah, but still it's always better to finish closer to the kerb than away

Millions thanks!!!!! Huge respect for you,Ma'am!
I wouldn't even try to park in a spot like this
My friend is learning to drive and her instructor says a drain (about 1 foot) distance is fine, my view is if it’s a foot or more away from curb you’ve just stopped the car and not parked
On the test the examiner will accept ‘reasonably close’ (or about a drains width) from the kerb - but in real life we would try to get within 30cm. 👍🏼
At wat point dont need to turn the steering wheel backward when park perpendicular onstreet?
There is more detail in the full video 👍🏼
she's proud of it ha ha ha Nice one!!! Thank you!
Taxi, yeah I need a lift to the kerb there mate...
Think you need a taxi to the curb lol
It’ll be hard to guess whether it’ll fit or not without sensors 😂 Becareful not to scratch other cars, shits expensive
Good parking and inspiring
The license plate is great: Pass Drive
Thanks! The other car has one too. 👍🏼
Good teacher ❤
Now show us you leaving the parked spot between the two cars
That’s easy - just back up a little, then steer full right and creep out. 👍🏼
How to parallel park. The video: just parallel park
The full video we link to explains everything in detail. 👍🏼
Thanks for showing backward parking.❤.please do forward parking ❤
Forward parking in a bay?
Lol😊
We all know why she cut to her at the end 😅
Fail. Look at how far from the curve!!!
"Kerb" has to be a British thing.
My parking assist Hever gets used. Old school.
Hiya i would to do a mock automatic driving test if you do take anyv😊😊
I’m sorry but we only film mock tests with our actual pupils that are learning with us.
She didnt use her turn signal she cant have her license. 😊
There is often no need to indicate if no-one is there to see it.
Terrible look at the gap between the curb
The hardest thing for me to do lol
I dont have car but still watch video 😢
No indicators instant fail.
There is no need to indicate if no one will benefit.
It would do if you had not parked almost in the middle of the road 😅
Why not show us to the end then to see how far is the wheels from the kerb😂

You didn't signal your intention. You failed!

could of parked a bus in the gap from the kerb though...
you didn’t show the last part. it’s not fully parked
That was really far Ngl
Good keep it up.
What would be the ideal gap we can leave between the kerb and the car while doing the parallel parking?
Anything under 30cm should be fine. 👍🏼
@@AdvanceDrivingSchool Thank you so much

Should have straighten it up and reverse a bit more before going to full right
Indicator!
That is not a small spot 😳
How cute 🥰
Where are the observations that’s question? People are saying she is so distant from the curb which might be a fair thing to stress on but observations all around the car is vital otherwise it is a straight fail.
No but she is way far from the kerb and the camera/editor did not catch that on purpose 😂
You started too far out from the parked cars, which is why you did not get all the way in to the curb.
I would say the distance was ok but for some reason she skipped the straighten the wheels after the 45 degree so she could of got closer to the kerb then when closer full lock.
Too far from the kerb. The camera man did a good editing. You got 45% pass mark
I think its a fail. Too far from the curb. The blue car was parked right. Started to straighten out too early.
Why does it look easier than it actuslly is 😢

You have to basically be almost against the parked car in front to start with.

I mean if you want to make it harder then yea this is perfect but there’s an easier way
Not bad
thats too far from the kerb
That’s a fail. Too far from the curb.
Why can't we see the final park position in this video? Is it because she was miles away from the kerb?
It’s because a TH-cam ‘short’ video must be less than 60 seconds so we run out of time! Click the link for the full video where everything is shown. 👍🏼
Uhuh u have to turn ur hazard light first before reversing🤭
We would consider it if there was another car nearby - but it’s OK not to if no one is there.
good
What's the reference point before the final full right lock

No TTT at front

Oui!
This 30cm is for who?
are you not ment to be looking behind you while you parallel park not just 3 mirrors?
Yes you are. Sorry if we didn’t show it clearly enough - click the link for the full video where we explain more fully.
what do you mean the curb has dropped?
It’s where the kerb is lowered for access to a driveway. 👍🏼
Could’ve done a better job, you are being to careful and you are too far away from the car
What distance had been left between cars?
We always look for a space at least 1.5 times the length of our car, and then finish in the middle of it.
Didn't show the end result because the car was 1.5 feet away from the curb
Yes, the 60-second limit of a Short caught us out there!
What if u dont have front and back sensors
Our other car doesn’t have front sensors! Just don’t risk getting too close. Maybe get out and check if you’re not sure?
Poi voglio il video su come uscire da lì 😅
Just reverse to the rear of the space, then turn fully right and drive out! 👍🏼
