    Back in my day...
No seriously about 25 years ago i played for a guy who lost 34/36 games he coached. He was at our school 2 years and had a 2-34 record. He played us slow, insisted plays had to finish to score the basket and we had to make a minimal of 4 passes before we even crossed half court. We had so many violations it wasnt funny, and to top it off defenses started playing full court press on us because if we took it over before those passes were made oh shit we never heard the end of it.
This was refreshing to hear a coach who seems like he had success, say the play ends when the defense gives a free shot to you basically. Thought about getting into coaching and was looking for inspiration on what to run.

i wanted to get into coaching myself since i had the same issues as you. Honestly the offense i would run is the flex offense since i think motion can be too stagnant at times if kids dont know what to do and on defense either packline d or 2-3 zone and really make opponents take tough jumpshots they arent comfortable taking.

I teach my kids a basic motion offense but I also teach them like this guy. If an opening is there then take it. I don't hinder my shooters or guys that can drive to the basket. They read and react.

My 6th grade traveling team is attempting to run a very similar offensive set to this. We call it Boston. Of course it's a bit different when you're teaching 12-yr olds, several of which are in their first year of playing basketball, compared to high school kids.....
The slight difference for mine is that we go to the guard/forward to the PG's left first instead of the right side wing. If needed or open, we can swing that pass over to the right wing and then look for the PG in the corner off of that curl.
But since this is a continuous offense we kind of like to set our plays up rather than necessarily making the first look our best look. So the PG curls, and then the wing slides over and like in the video, gets the "shuffle screen" as he cuts to the opposite block. Now here's where our set differs.
I simply have the post rotate up, or "fill in" and keep the PG in the right corner/wing for the time being. This way we can run the same action going back the other way.
Reverse the ball to the post who is now where the PG originally started, the left guard/forward makes his curl cut to the corner, and then the far left wing slides up and gets the shuffle screen from the wing who went to the left block. Now the far left wing fills in on the right block and the wing opposite "fills in" up top so we can reverse the ball and so on and so forth.
Fairly simple once they get it down. The next trick is getting kids who can handle the ball......................................

I'd venture to say his players at findlay have better body language than these kids. They obviously brought him in because he has something to offer their team and those kids look like they have zero interest in being there. He said that if that 4 man cant get open they will find someone who can, its important for coaches to have players who show they want to be there or find ones who do.
