WE LIVED just outside San Ramon in a small town called Los Angeles Sur, and did all our shopping in the "big city". There is a good sized expat community of Americans, Canadians and others. I would recommend San Ramon as a good alternative to the San Jose metroplex - which is overcrowded and cursed with horrible traffic jams daily !
Thank you for commenting and sharing your experience. It does seem that many more expats are deciding to live in the smaller towns outside of San Jose.
Thanks, Roger, for highlighting San Ramón. Were I to relocate to Costa Rica, the Central Valley would definitely be my choice.unless or until the virus tyranny goes away, however, I will continue to cast my lot with Florida.
Thank you for watching and commenting Rick. Always great to get out to the smaller towns of the Central Valley that have so much to offer at a much lower cost of living.
Hi Mr Roger... great video very useful. A question, could u inform me a little bit about basketball in San Ramon? Are there courts? tournaments? Acadmies? Thx
Aloha I discovered your channel today, thank you for putting the information out there. I'm in Florencia of San Carlos and looking for someplace that is less humid with less rain to plant myself in preparation for the upcoming hyper-inflation & scarcity paradigms on the horizon. If you or your circle of people have houses or apartments for rent, please let me know! Gringoriccense=
Most people that come to Costa Rica and are expats are looking for the green living with some land so buildings are not for everybody. As land prices escalate in the central valley many people will have no option. We are seeing this trend already in some of the larger towns in San Jose that have that kind of zoning.
Hola gracias por compartir a mi bella ciudad de San Ramón, pura vida brother 🇨🇷
Thanks Roger, as always, a great job of highlighting alternatives for us.
Thank you John for all your continued feedback to the channel which is always appreciated
I lived just outside of town for 9 months in 2009. Came back to the States when my mom called and said she had cancer. So much for that plan
Jeffrey. Sorry to hear that.
Once again thanks for the very useful information
Thank you for watching and commenting much appreciated.
