Plus this movie doesn't even matter, since James Gunn is restarting the DC universe. Though i think that reboot is doomed as well.
If Ezra Miller were actually punished for his unspeakably horrible criminal behavior, it's seriously possible the film, "might," have done well out of pity, but, he wasn't, and, it didn't.
The amber heard thing is annoying too. Ppl are just gonna blame her for it flopping when really the DCeu always flopped. After Aquaman 1, they didn't have 1 hit. Shazam did ok but didn't set the world on fire. And since then, everything they made flopped. It's because of bvs. BVS literally lost the entire audience in one film
Jason and Patrick are cool enough. James Wan is mostly great in what he does... After the first one I was done. It was pretty bad with a couple cool moments. After the last several years of movies and shows there's no way anyone should have thought this would be good. Plus, it has Amber Heard.
I really wish they would stop with this "Super Hero Fatigue" and call it what it actually is - bad movies. Horrible scripts and poor stories. Spiderman Across the Universe is a super hero movie that was well written, and had an inventive story that had weight and was well received, They need to make better movies instead of trying to pass the crap they are making now.
@zv3456u- At his age, it doesn't matter, he only acts when he wants, anyway, certain, "victories," give us faith when there really isn't a reason, blood simple.
"Superhero fatigue" is what Hollywood calls it when people refuse to buy their garbage. Hollywood seems to learn the wrong lessons in general. Superman 1978 was great. Superman 2 was arguably better. Then the studio went comedic and brought in Richard Pryor and the environmental message, and the quality tanked. Then they brought in the antiwar message and people were done watching. They could have run that franchise for years and years going through the superman rogues gallery and people would have kept showing up, but instead they had to throw in the message of the day and that was that. It is not just superhero movies. The stargate franchise is probably one of the most transparent examples of this. Stargate had a movie that was OK. Then SG-1 came out and grew into an awesome show that blended all the things into a great package. People loved it and could have rivaled shows like Doctor Who. But the show got really expensive so they created atlantis, which was good. Then BSG came out, with a dark gritty tone. It was at this point the showrunners for stargate decided they wanted a BSG clone, and cloned it into Stargate Universe. It had nothing in common with the formula of the SG shows that came before it and people did not like it as a stargate show. It might have worked as a standalone show. Ratings tanked. Instead of coming away with "People don't like a dark and gritty stargate show" the powers that be came away with "People don't like stargate anymore", and promptly cancelled the properties people actually wanted. The SG-1 movie and the atlantis movies. There is, to this day a market for actual stargate content, just not a clone of some other property rebranded. And that also applies to superhero movies. Marvel killed the chances of actually doing all the really great stories to push a message nobody wants. DC tried to skip ahead to the grand universe without building the foundation. The death of superman arc was one movie, the second movie in the franchise, and tied into the Batman v Superman arc. Had they taken their time and done it right, it would have been awesome.
The Salkinds fired Richard Donner, which was a total disaster, much like a few years later when Joel Silver fired Shane Black from Lethal Weapon 2 in a totally indefensible move, period, The More Things Change.

I’m seeing a lot of comments here stating that superhero fatigue isn’t real and isn’t the reason for these recent superhero movies tanking. These folks don’t realize that superhero fatigue and bad movies are not mutually exclusive. Superhero fatigue is absolutely real and these movies are absolutely garbage. Many of my friends and myself included all have superhero fatigue which started as early as the second avengers movie for some of us. Too much of a good thing will absolutely cause fatigue. Even if these movies were amazing, the box office returns still would be down compared to the height of the superhero genre. Both of these are huge factors and we should not be naive enough to think that great superhero movies will return the genre back to its former glory.
Yeah, which is precisely why the final, TFATF, and, MI, films will both, disappoint, at best, flop, at worst, Franchise Fatigue is real, and, audiences for the most recent entries have proven that, specifically.

So my twin brother and I just saw AquaMan 2 The Lost Kingdom and we really liked it. I love when Arthur tricks Orm into eating a cockroach while they're running for their lives in the jungle. Could've done without the baby piss jokes though.
It's not the people have "superhero fatigue" It's that people have far far less money right now so movies have to work that much harder to get attention from viewers because people can't afford to go out to the movies anywhere near as much as they used to. I don't think it's fair to paint the whole genre with the DECU brush. Thats a case of a franchise thats been mishandled to it's core. Also, Avatar 2 is not a fair comparison as that movie was years andf years in the making with an insane budget behind it. I know every film school stan wants risky indie projects to dominate but thats is simply not going to happen. COVID and the Strikes decimated Hollywood. More then ever they are going to head towards safe bets. This is an industry that is very very much a business. Even A24 the indie darling is moving towards safer blockbusters now.

Same but where I am living a movie is $4usd so questionable movies don't hurt as much as the $10ish in the US.
Awesome Movies Aquaman 2 Lost The Kingdom
make good superhero movies and there won't be any "superhero movies fatigue" what so ever
J0HNNY bought a ticket to see to his ex wife Amber
And i am really disappointing of your score for a 5, the movie deserves a better score for the effort and storyline, and i know you are such a bias of Henry Cavill for excluding Brandon in uour intro
Damn Right, James Cameron's films always have a pedestal that others can't match, and, next year will be the worst year for films since 2020, terrible.
@@matthewdaley746 I didn't like either of the Avatar movies personally. Too derivative for me.
@@StephenLeGresleyI thought they were just OK, which is why other than making a lot of money, and, being visually stunning, nobody seems to remember that much about them, really nothing.
Maybe. I was a huge comic book fan ~ '76-84 and a big movie fan, too, who really got into the Marvel stuff up until Endgame and the first Spidey flick. But after seeing the entire friggin universe saved, I was exhausted. A big Dr Strange fan (and Sam Ramey), and I haven't even seen the second one, or any Marvel film ever since. For now, I'm just not interested, even being able to see them on a big projector screen at home.
@@Captain-CosmoChecked out here, unquestionably.
Its utterly stupendous to compare Aquaman 2 to Avatar 2 when Avatar had a Much MUCH BIGGER budget and waaaay longer timeframe in production development.
I hope James Gunn helps DC to take over this decade
i wonder what stupidity i would have done to have lost Amber
I really want to see this one. the first one was great and James Wan is a great director. and I couldn´t care less what´s going on with Amber Heard
As a Snyderverse fan I will watch it. Go phukurself if you disagree
As a SnyderVerse fan, I won't watch it. The DCEU has already been reset by The Flash, remember?
I love amber,i dont care if she seems insane and not wife/mother material...
