Pretty decent tbh at first the flow was a little boring before he edited it but other than that great sounds heavy drops not disappointed.

And now 8 months later, we've have about 7 of these tunes 😂
I mean, the mini-mix is cool but if it was a 12 track album that was promoted over multiple months it would've brought out so much more hype around his brand and honestly a lot of people would've preferred it too. Saw a lot of people disappointed it wasn't a 12 track album like he original stated on twitter.
mix isn't on spotify, album would've been. so limiting the release to certain platforms seems a bit silly to me, could've at least put the mix on spotify...
I was thinking first, maybe all the singles MARAUDA dropped these last months (Heave, The Reckoning, Sinews, Rage Room, Resurgence and finally Tool of Delirium) were promoting a future MARAUDA album, and that's what I thought when seeing "The Faceless". I got baited of course, like everyone else.
But who knows, maybe this mix also promotes a future MARAUDA album, that contains the singles released in 2022/2023 + IDs from the mix ?
That last drop is actually a Resurgence remix by YVM3, i listened to it before marauda even announced Faceless, glad to see him use it in the mix.

that lethargica flip is SO HARDDDDD, that's my favorite meshuggah song they've ever done and the remix is an awesome idea that i'd love to see a full version of. other than that, the mix was pretty hit and miss in my opinion, which is kinda how i feel about his discography as a whole
That 3rd ID w Svdden death is so fire
maybe marauda could pull a black hole final chapter and turn the mixtape into a full album. that would be really fulfilling

The thing about MARAUDA that really irks me is that he always changes the snares on tunes where it _really_ didn't need it. The Mastatronics tune (I forget the name, it was something Guarde) ID has been around for a while, and the snare on it was nuts, and then this set reveals its new snare and it's just... so underwhelming. Same thing happened with SWATHE and HUSK, but at least HUSK still sounded nice. I think it's because they're such old clips that have been around for so long that everybody's heard so maybe he feels he has to change something to keep it different? His new IDs that I've never heard before all sound nuts, but the old ones are always altered in some way and it's hardly ever for the better.
Dang I don't know why nobody talks about this, I have been noticing that and it really annoys me sometimes😂.
The second half of the showcase is SO good
The “pump up the jam” ID and the one after it are my favorites for sure

"This is the first single of an upcoming album, get ready !"
I also thought this was going to be an album and I was believing really hard this whole bunch of singles released over the past months could figure on this album.

El Lost land no sera igual sin Marauda
i thought it was kinda meh, like a 6/10. there were some songs in here i thought were great but were cut short, and most of the songs were kinda forgettable. the metal parts were executed wayyy better than most other artists who tried that style.
Really boring imo, they all have very similar flows and sounds. Like bruh, use something else besides machine gun basses in every drop. I liked the drums though.

i agree, there is some cool ideas but overall it's a repetition of what marauda has done plenty of times before

Lots of stuff I don’t really care for in this mix. Never really liked marauda’s style. Just too noisy for me. and the rhythms are so inconsistent it just doesn’t sound good to me.

For me, Black Label Mastadon….. I mean, “Marauda” is the pinnacle of his style AND creativity, which is kinda crazy considering how early on in his career it was. I’m personally burnt out on this current Marauda style in general which has been the norm for the past x amount of years. It’s one of those “ you heard one, you’ve heard them all” kind of sounds. YAWN 🥱 RIP is probably my favorite track of his of all time

Not gonna lie, that seems to be the case for many of my fav artists. Their earliest work is almost always my favourite and they seem to quickly pull away from what made them blow up in the first place. Oddprophet is one for me, his new stuff just doesn’t do it for me but his somewhat older stuff (around when he was releasing tunes themed around tarot cards) was top tier for my preference . Same with Akeos around black label releases. Artists change and that’s normal and totally fine, but damn sometimes I wish they didn’t 😅

@@luznoceda2003 would love to hear some stuff like Jvnkworld again from svdden, but however I do like his newer stuff. Just different vibe
