Great job on the wheel and engine front mount parts that look as good as new. If I lived closer to you I would donate a couple of stock '56 Chevy wheels for your project for I need to thin out the extra parts that I have collected over 40 years time. Keep them videos coming, I enjoy watching them and love your humor!

Yeah I sure could use those wheels. There's plenty of them between you & I though. I'll find some soon. Thanks again for the washers.

Just a heads up, those front of the engine motor mounts will NOT work with the Chevy 350. For 265, 283, or early 327 only. Best of luck sir.

My motor mounts might not work on the 1956 Chevy #freemansgarage

Great job on the wheel. Refurbing parts is a great way to save money and all it takes is time.

Freeman, when you took the nozzle apart on your sandblaster hose I noticed that the nozzle was oval srhaped. When you sand blast you have to take this apart and rotate it a quarter of a turn at least once every hour to keep the nozzle from wearing like this. If you do this it will wear evenly. This should also make the little blaster a little more efficeient. Also, most blasters come with a steel replacement nozzle, which yours probably have. There are 3 kinds, steel, ceramic, and carbon. Carbone is the best and will last the longest. Just make sure you turn it a quarter turn on a regula
    rbasis. Good luck.

I did not know that. I do have some different nozzles that I'll have to look through. Thanks for mentioning that.

Add more media or you can shake the mixture where the pickup sits in the mix

When I was in Jr. High I bought the biggest air compressor I could afford and a sand blast pot. My plan was to sand blast my 53 Studebaker. Well..............!!!!!!!!!!!. I remember my Uncle stopping by and asking me if I thought I would be done before I started on Social Security!

That's funny. It seems like underestimating the amount of time it'll take to do a project never ends. We always think we can do everything in a couple hours. Thanks for watching the video & for taking the time to comment.

I’ve seen many attempts to do what this video is showing including my attempts. The bottom line is the joint between the two parts of any steel wheel are impossible to get to with any method resulting in rust reappearing soon after attempting refinishing. This is why it’s always worth the money to buy replacement wheels. Also even if it looks good old wheels have metal fatigue. Many companies offer new wheels at reasonable prices and you avoid the stress and lost time chasing rainbows that have no chance of a positive outcome.

It's difficult to disagree with that.
