  • Are you raising a GenZ, are you a GenZ or do you have certain misconceptions about Genz’s?
Like most people, do you think they are weird, stubborn, lazy etc etc or do you think they are independent, hardworking and not easy to manipulate?
I sat down with three incredible Kenyan Genz’s in London and they are about to blow your mind

Great conversations there! On the topic about their dad, his absence in their lives and the violence and trauma they were exposed to, I would strongly encourage them to go for therapy if they haven't. Sometimes we don't know how much childhood trauma affects us until much later in life. As a 40 year old woman, I would strongly encourage them to do this ASAP.

15:38 Well, there have been a lot of killings and other sort of crimes in black dominated areas due to gangster culture.
Also, the reason why the shops do not allow more than two people, (teenagers/youngpeople,) is due to vandalism and theft.
It's nothing to do with race. I live in a white populated area. In our local supermarket, no High school kids in uniform is allowed without an adult.
18:43: The mental health issues is higher in those area of South East. The schools in these areas should be like army military. The parents are busy making money while the kids are seeking attention at school and elsewhere.
Sadly, some black families teach their kids to hate. Racism does not exist. The word racism is only applied if an incident involves two different races. For E.g, Black and white or Asian and vice vasa. If a similar incident happened on black on black, it referred to as hatred, stereotype, jealousy, etc.
Therefore, those who use race card are hateful. Whatever is regarded as a racism also takes place in black communities or in Africa. ✌️💕✌️💕✌️💕✌️💕

nooo DENESE is TOO GORGEOUS she should GET MARRIED and have some GORGEOUS KIDS like herself! Somebody needs to COUNSEL HER so that she doesnt grow TOO OLD to get a FAMILY as she will REGRET when its TOO LATE to regret!...somebody DISABUSE her of that TERRIBLE ideology too many KENYANS are sold at a time when they should be FORMING THEIR FAMILIES as for a GIRL the WINDOW PERIOD is TOO SHORT! ....

What made me overjoyed about this interview was to see and understand how these girls appreciate their roots. I'm glad to see children who love their heritage because this means that they don't have an identity crisis like most immigrant kids born abroad.

It’s lovely to see our children with so much confidence, whoever said that raising kids as a single mum they end up as nothing needs to listen to this girls. Kudos Lydia you raised them well. I have such conversations with my kids especially my daughter and she makes me think we are worlds apart in thoughts. Now our parents in diaspora see we brought up our kids in the west but they love Kenya more than the West....an eye opener. Finally you dads that leave and disconnect from your children I hope you hear the trauma that you leave in them which can affect future relationships for them. Children are affected differently by parental separation but they shouldn’t have to be affected if both parents only can show them love.

Wow! Lynn, I knew you are at the kitchen cooking a sumptuous meal and indeed you have delivered it to the dining table with a big rejuvenated smile. Waaah❤
Folks, this is the rare glaring reality of GenZ fully packaged and laying bare both the harsh reality and the unapologetic stances. The trio are spitting wisdom to the core and in a sense in which parents and older generation that do not understand them might be tempted to process and review Genz from a better perspective. I personally affirm all these beautiful girls and can attest that whereas the father was absent and the responsibility fully rested on their single mother, its incumbent upon those that thrash or wish away children brought up by single Mother as any less to rethink their positions. The number of times these girls have echoed their mother's love, role modeling and guidance is beyond measure. The approval and affirmation to their mother should be emulated by many.
GenZ's only mistake is that people never understand them. That's them and that's how God wired them. Just like all other generations before them, they do things the way they know how and the manner in which we parents modeled them. It's never about them for sure but us who don't understand them ndio tuko na shida. That's the harsh reality on the ground.
Listening to these three girls speak, gives the listener a clue on what GenZ are made of, their aspirations and how much they wish to achieve away from free goodies often associated with sponsors. They know their game, their purpose in life and their vision from the onset. Seeing a young girl testifying that she doesn't view university education as benefitting her much than pursuing her passion and purpose is quite a positive self-assurance to bigger things in life. Sad to you men out there that thinks that young girls are out there to waste or be bought with small monies to destroy their future. Learn from this show that today's woman is a full package on her own right. They can do even better than their predecessors that disapprove the way they do things. I personally affirm these awesome girls and wish them the happy ending.
Today, some people (kenyans) believe out there is better than Kenya but listening to these patriotic Kenyans who happened to be born in the "LAND OF MILK AND HONEY" you can agree with me that Kenya is the best country in the world where you can find the best if determined to live your purpose. Speaking from the land of the Colonial masters these girls are disapproving the country in day twilight and without apology. I love that and even Lynn, sitting in that show was a gape and mesmerised to the core. They illuminated Lynn's eyes to heaven and back by the way they were responding with spontaneous humour and laughter. All the four in the show made life a worthy cause to enjoy. Lynn, if there has ever been a time or a show you caught yourself in an unprecedented territory, this was it. Meeting three awesome girls within GenZ and with an incredible sense of humour flowing unapologetically to the core. This must have made your visit to London worthy writing home about courtesy of great Motherhood.
As its the norm, Lynn the African Princess has made Kenya proud. Keep going it Lynn. Keep impacting the globe without apology.
To sum it up in a single sentence "The show was incredible and smoking"❤👏👏🙌

Hello Lynn. This is a very insightful conversation. I suggest that you also pick Kenyan GenZ living in Kenya or Africa, because we are the new wave. 🎉🎉

I am very fond of the Gen Z, I think maybe because my daughter is in that Generation, and I sort of understand them. One thing is for sure, they think outside the box, they question why things are done the way they are done, and they really do not care about all the formalities that we previously held dear without really questioning. On the downside, they are really sensitive and prone to 'checking out' easily. The other day I was asked 'do we all have to be great and important?' Made me ask, there is nothing wrong with leading a simple, nondescript life as long as you are contented and happy. We all cannot be rich, popular or famous. It is interesting to look at the world from their eyes, it is not that serious. Very interesting conversation with these lovely ladies.
