- A Charismatic, well-spoken and very well-dressed man. That is what you see when you look at Kasmuel. Under the surface however is a hurt young boy who was bullied and molested, a boy dying to make the pain go away. Kasmuel bares his soul and speaks about unaddressed trauma and its debilitating consequences. In shedding light on his past, he gives his future a fighting chance

Engage provides a platform for ordinary and extraordinary people to Inform. Inspire. Influence.
Thank you Kasmuel for taking a step of courage and grace to opennly share your story infront of an audience. Its not easy, even knowing that your parents were watching and apologizing to them. You have given many young men the strength and understanding that someone can relate if they have gone through the same and that there's hope. May the Lord continue to do great things in your life, you are a strong person. The vulnerability you share only God can choose you to speak for Him to change other lives. You're God's Masterpiece and He loves you so much. Thank you for encouraging others through your story. Am truly sorry for all you've gone through may the Lord continue to heal you as you impact nations for His Glory. He's put a crown on your head for His Glory and Honor, may your words transform, encourage and lift up others
Who else has fallen in love with his voice & eloquence?❤
I was just about to comment that. Very well-spoken. It feels like I'm reading a well written novel
Me..I have 😀😀🤩
Parents when you visit your kids on boarding school, with trucks full of goodies, please care to ask if they know of any kids who have not been visited. Share, pack an extra bag. 😢
Well said.
Great advice
“When we deny our stories, they define us. When we own our stories, we get to write a brave new ending.”-Brené Brown
Beautiful
This is one of the bravest things I have seen anybody do. To share your vulnerability in such an eloquent and intelligent way is incredible Kasmuel. I especially appreciate your insertion of well-placed humour in an otherwise sombre story. You are clearly in this world for a reason; please continue to inspire. ❤
A very young man. Sorry for what you had to go through. You are strong, you have conquered, strive to always move forward. I hope nobody ever discriminate you over ADHD and bipolar.. many have lived a full fruitful life. They are mild issues.

"If you talk about these things, about the issues in your life. They no longer overpower you."
So deep. Thanks for sharing your story Kasmuel.
Now I understand the Phrase ' Be kind coz you never know what someone is undergoing '
Speed recovery Kas. I'm speechless 😢
It is not in the fluency or diction that this story was told but in the vulnerability to share such aspects of our lives. Vulnerability is the ultimate metric of courage and this right here is the embodiment of courage!
Kas I really hope and pray that you left that stage light - unfettered, liberated! Yours was indeed a great burden to bear and kudos for shedding it!
"Free At Last"
Wishing you well in all you do, continue being a blessing to all of us who get to witness and share in the numerous endowments that the Lord has bestowed on you!
Very well said!
God is faithful son ,He heals the broken hearted and causes them to sit in thrones, thank you for voicing this ,we look at sexual molestation and think it’s for girls .you are brave .
The eloquence 👌👌👌👌👌👌
McOure is so well-spoken! Waaah! He would make an excellent news anchor!
I study in the same school now .TUK. Hope someday I'll make it to the same stage as you at ENGAGE .Someday I will
Coming across this is such a beautiful coincidence.Thankyou Kasmuel for your Vulnerability. I am truly inspired by it♥️♥️🙏🙏
Love this guy ✅✅✅ He's braver than he thinks. .. A beautiful mind enveloped in a beautiful spirit.
Deserves a standing ovation !!
Loved how you owned your truth, your future is so bright, best of luck champ👏🏽
One day, may we get the courage to share our stories. May we get power over them ❤ Bless you
I can relate, schooling in a "rich school" and coming from a "humbled" background, though I cannot tell the difference between how rich is rich and how humble is humble, is a hell of a place, it's like a rabbit walking majestically in a pride of lions. People got stories, smiles hide the real monster within
This is the comment I came to make 😅 It takes a very strong child to come from a poor background and come through one of those schools unscathed. I first understood what wealth truly means in that environment, and I saw how differently people (and their children) are treated when they have money.
Enyewe if you are from Central lets accept, this level of English articulation and everything is 'not our mouth', tuachie Western and Kisumu roho safi 😂😂😂😂 wueh kizungu...excellent.
Very unfortunate high school experience.....😢...these stories make me wonder about boys schools esp boarding in Kenya
Dude is polished
Would you know if he was found?
Congratulations Kasmuel, this is the bravest in our christian walk. Walking with you in prayers 🙏
As someone I really look up to for his extraordinary music and piano skills, this is really deep. You are great Kasmuel
Quiet a touching story on bullying and sexuality in young people. Indeed let's have empathy for people who are in pain.
This is so touchy...😢
Hugs, hugs and more hugs to Kasmuel.
Kasmuel is so eloquent and smart!
Oh yes, people suffer in silence
High school is where most of us changed. Today I still wonder if I can take my kids to a boarding high school.
Great story here
The child will still change....no one goes through life without changing
I’m so sorry McOure…so sorry you had to go through all this at such a tender age. I’m glad you have told your truth and may your star shine bright. Ifikie high schools. I hope things have changed over time. Nobody deserves to go through abuse of whatever kind. May we extend grace to each other, more so children. 🖤🖤🖤.
Every day we live and play roles to mask who we really are. We hide our fears and stories because of the fear of being caught or judged. We smile, laugh at jokes, make someone smile but we are our past when we go back to our closet. We just wish for death than getting caught.
But have you stopped to think about who we are when we are unmasked; when we must exist in that raw open sphere of truth...
This is bravest McOure; and you've stirred hope and bravery in ladies and gentlemen going thru' this especially sexual assault.
One day I'll share mine on a global arena. Let's engage!
This just broke my heart 💔 but what an eloquent , humorous and interesting speaker.
A brave, well-articulated and very impactful talk. According to WHO, 1 in 8 people globally is living with a mental health disorder, and these account for roughly 14.3% of deaths annually! Despite it's high prevalence, mental illness is massively underdiagnosed and undertreated, especially in Africa. This is why I commend you for coming out and sharing your story, for although many people have been afflicted by illnesses such as depression, many do not come out or seek any kind of help. This usually concludes in suicidal ideations and ultimately suicidal attempts some of which succeed.
Mental resilience is a potent tool that can help us withstand the adversity of mental illnesses. One of the most practical ways of building resilience is through social connectedness... sharing your stories and taking comfort in the fact that you're not alone and you have people rooting for you. I applaud you, therefore, for taking the onus on yourself, to share your story, in the hope that it can impact someone else positively. I do wish you well, and hope that you find lasting joy and peace in the little things in life, and that you get freed from the suicidal thoughts that have afflicted you in the past. I also hope you have a good prognosis with your diagnoses! Thank you for sharing this, McOure 🙏🏾.
Such a brevity of substance.
It takes incredible strength to share such a story on such a stage, Kasmuel. You're gifted not only on the keys but also in speech. Be sure your story will touch a soul! Go, Kas! You've triumphed by sharing! 🎉#GoChamp! 💪

Such a touching story..
Parents should be very careful and get to know what happens to kids...these issues that happen to kids will injure them for a lifetime if not attended to.
I couldn’t hold my tears at some point but I’m smiling as I finish this, you’re a really strong, eloquent and ambitious young man. Kudos for standing tall despite the bad experiences you had and wanting to be an inspiration and encouragement to someone out there.

Kas, finally...finally... You're brave for doing this, but you're braver for how you've lived all these years, sculpting out the man you've become even when everyone else had a different story about you..when everyone else thought they had you figured out, when everyone else thought they had a claim on what was your story. Thank you for sharing this. And all the best
