Do not despair, i love ketchup on flaky fish. It started 60yrs ago when my mom baked the old fashioned fish sticks on every friday.

Hi Danny, loved this video. The lady in orange was so taken with you and I loved the interviews afterwards. I too love ketchup fish and chips and with a side of tangy slaw.

Truckers know about the off-the-beaten path restaurants, with good food and reasonable prices. I really like the video's with some of your viewers joining you. It's nice putting a face with the names that we see in the comments.
Thanks Danny , please always include your thoughts on the " feel " of the restaurants. A really comfortable setting is a big part of it for me. I also have been past the Railroad Pass many times , I will stop in next time.
it feels nice, not overly crowded, ppl very unpretentious, and if for military, they give you a free burger meal every month from the players card!

I live on the east coast but I feel a large gravitational pull to immediately travel to the Iron Rail Cafe. Any family that went there for the same meal, Southern Fired Chicken, for 20 YEARS!!! is proof positive that it must be good and I must eat it too.
( or it could be because it was the cheapest in 50 miles? u never know, I must interview her family! )

Danny suggestion when you order two different meals ? Order 1 so it's hot then order the second meal and it will be hot off the press unless you don't mind Luke warm items or you edit out a time lapse and both are eaten very quick together ?

Food looks good . Raw onion in soup is a very Greek thing as in Fasolada.
DTM, the fish and chips looked a little greasy. Just so you know, malt vinegar is meant to be sprinkled lightly on them and is not meant as a dunking liquid. What is that "charge tips" amount on the bill for? Is it a tip charge? That's highway robbery. You shouldn't stand for it. Next time try the fried chicken plate. Tks. Karla in Cali.
no, what I did was, I went and I paid the bill. I wrote down how much tip to put and it ended up on the receipt.

I have to keep the videos short and to the point, my interactions are usually cut from the video to save time, unless the chatter has something significant to do with the topic at hand...

Putting ketchup on fish is an unforgivable sin. It's MUCH worse than putting ketchup on a hot dog which is also shameful. Tartar sauce is the only civilized condiment for fish unless it's a baked fish with a butter based sauce.

So, you didn’t give malt vinegar a fair shot, because you dipped your fish in it. Use it like lemon, just a few drops is all that’s needed. Then add tartar sauce, or in your case, ketchup. But Americans don’t typically like malt vinegar anyway. Btw, ketchup on your hot dog? What about steak, or prime rib?
