      Lysander with Terminators seem better, just get a shield and hammer and convert the Terminator Captain into him.
      Get some Agressors and you have a suitable option to attach Tor and the Apothecary to (which seems possible). I probably use my Dorn conversion from Guilliman as well as Guilliman, he could go 1 handed with his sword or 2 handed representing his combat weapons, while the bolter he holds is the ranged one.

    I'm painting up my Marines as the Dark Krakens, a Salamanders successor. They have a cool paint scheme and they're all about being Space Marine monster hunters. Their lore is all about fighting Leviathan, they're adherents to the Promethean cult and get along with their parent chapter (as far as I know) so the presence of Vulkan or Adrax would make sense. And as an Ultima Founding chapter that participated in the Indomitus Crusade, even Bobby G could make an appearance. Gives me lots of flexibility and keeps with the lore too

    • @Backpflaume666
      @Backpflaume666 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      It doesn't really favor Salamanders. In my opinion Ultramarines are the best pick for the box, because of their HQs choices. They have a massive amount of good unique characters. And roboute guilliman is just on another level. The salamanders HQ choices are not as good as the Ultramarines ones. They are fine and all but to be fair: giving the infernus squad wound rerolls maybe sounds good on paper. But in reality it is not very strong, because the infernus squad is only S 5, AP 0. So this unit is only effective against light armoured infantery. But buffing units who are good against light armoured infantery won't win you games most of the time especially because the 10th edition favors elite units and vehicles because you don't need to bring standard infantery or something like that. Salamanders are in my opinion not the best choice in 10th edition (at least gameplay-wise). But they are not the weakest choice either.

    I think the agastus heavy intercessors or the Warpforged force agressors will pair well with the gravis apothecary, and adrax will certainly work well with the infernus. Pairing the ballistus and brutalis dreadnoughts will hopefully give a good balance too.

Like they have at least an Infernus on the home objective, the Neurotyrant died because the Captain engaged it and he's still alive at the end, the Apothecary survived the Leaper ambush since he's the one to suicide bomb to kill the Rippers and some Gaunts, and I think the Librarian wiped the Barbgaunts. Yeah they lost the Dreadnought, a lot of Sternguards and the Apothecary but all around they're honestly fine.

      I heavily disagree. Vulkan is an amazing objective holder, but also great for overwatch. Remember you can overwatch in an enemy movement phase as well, so they just need to walk by the objective to get torched without charging. Adrax's thunder hammer can take on predators, so that's great. His problem is that none of the squads he can combo with is that great. If he can run with bladeguard or aggressors, he'd be fine.

    I'm having a hard time deciding, that's why I watched the video! 😅 The marine armies I'd been working on are DA Ravenwing and Phobos themed Ravenguard (I know lots of Ravens and lots of black). But this force doesn't fit super well with either thematically. I guess it could be part of a combined DA army pretty well. It's not terrible for either, but also not perfect. So I don't know if I should do one or the other or something completely different! I may just paint the tyranids first so I can decide on the SMs later.

    Now hang on one goddamn second. I get that you rate the Blood Angels low because the box has anything besides jump packs and chainswords (which is such a narrow way of thinking of Blood Angels but I'll accept it because they do fit best there), but how are you going to rank them low on _lore_ when *Hive Fleet Leviathan is the Hive Fleet that devastated Baal?* This box is a grudge match! This is round 2! This is justice for Baal! Lore-wise, Blood Angels are the BEST fit! There's a _little_ more to the army than jump packs and chainswords; not _that_ much, but at least give us this!
    I would paint this up as Blood Angels anyway, because they're just my favorite chapter anyway, and I'm working on a Blood Angel successor chapter that focuses more on a slow, unstoppable march forward rather than a blitz charge, so Terminators fit my vibe better than jump packs anyway.
