I really agree with the meditation part. I've come to the experience where I used to be severely depressed in my younger days because of hard life events that seemed endless by then and some past trauma I got from childhood. But then it took me a year of meditation and a bit to be completely healed. I'm much a happy person now! The key is our thoughts indeed, one of most famous Buddhist quotes says "what you think, you become" Basically it's our thoughts that make us suffer, so if you want to be happy it's either positive thoughts in your head or just being completely mindful with the exact present. The best piece of advice about journaling / mind detoxing is what was said about being realistic about our own situations, incapabilites, and situation. I was feeling my heart weigh really heavy in my chest over those things and letting it out on paper was really beneficial to helping me clear my mind from the mess of thoughts I was having. My fav way to detox my mind is just turn off my phone and go to a village near my city. Explore that place,meet new people and learn abt their totally different stories

What I love to do is fill a little basin with warm to hot water, put in green tea and dunk my face in it. First I dunk, then I take some water with my hands and pat it into my skin. Repeat until I’m bored. After that, I put on a face mask or a nice, nourishing face cream and relax.

To de-stress, i have me time/me day where i just do nothing or meditate/journal/blog or just try something new and exciting and then get a massage. To detox, i do exercise (current faves are muay thai, wall climbing and yoga), try something new for skincare and digital detox. I try to be consistent about these but sometimes i skip depending on what i need to do or feel like doing something else instead

The packaged "smoothies" aren't as good as fresh. Even when you make a fresh smoothie, you should only make as much as you will drink immediately as the smoothie loses much of it's healthy properties as it sits.

I don't think sweating detoxifies your body. We sweat to prevent our ourselves from overheating (evaporative cooling) and all that's really in it is salt and water, which we need to replenish after a heavy workout. Can anyone explain to me how sweating detoxifies the body?
Actually sweat contains a little bit of the same stuff that your pee has for example urea. So yes sweating does remove the waste products of your metabolism! Idk about sweating out a fever tho, it can be risky to work out while your sick.
I don’t think of it as a literal detox-sweating out toxins is a myth. However, exercise helps relieve stress and anxiety, improves your stamina, and can clear your mind. It’s great for everything! So think of it as detoxing stress and working off that ice cream you ate last night.
Are we supposed to avoid soy because the fatty properties? I just watched the "how to detox" video before this one that mentioned something about soy being bad for you. I know that soy milk in a smoothie isn't that bad. Idk what I'm saying I just want to detox so that my 30s will be a healthy decade lol
Bit late to this party but I agree with some of the comments here that smoothies (as great as they are to drink) are not necessarily detoxing the body. Recently I watched a science insider video where they've asked dietitians about smoothies and they said smoothies are not effective as you're dissolving all the fruit fibers and fibers are our body's natural detoxifying mechanism. So next time, dont put your mangoes, pineapples, apples in the smoothie maker, chop'em up and eat them straight. 😊
