    Gorgeous to see 1007 and 1056 operating. They made such a sight, in their backdated appearances. I doubt we shall see them steam again, so how happy I was to find this film of them operating.

    0beautiful memories of the steam era in SA. it's amazing that they were in such good condition and still running. Gongrats to all involved

    The pairing of GMAM and GL garratt locomotive is like taking 2 19D's and class14 'mountain' making 4 of them to the train that would have been easy for either GMAM or GL to handle. That pairing of the 2 garratt locos which were amongst the most powerful in SAR history was extravagant.(2023.11.20-11:35-soacalled South Africa)

      Hi Nigel, Yes it is 1929 built GL2351 from the George Museum where it had been on display cold just 2 days before. Glad you enjoyed the video.
