Hello! I'm a maker also interested in building Adolin's Shardplate. I'm in the research phase and I was wondering if you had any info/reference material/drawings you could share with me. I work with foam, but the concepts you used in your metal armor would transfer similarly to my foam. Thanks!
I'd be really curious to see what kind of mobility you have in that. It looks like it can articulate fairly well based on the interleaved plates, but you didn't show that at all.
So far I have full mobility, but in terms of restriction these parts are the easy part, once I start the waist plates and shoulder armor I will lose some range of motion. For me it's important to lift my arms to shoulder level, to be able to move my neck freely, and most importantly to be able to sit. Atm all the plates that would bind up movement are on a loose belt hinge design, or will be slotted sliding rivets
