From what I've heard from this man so far, this is his best song...EVER!
The man made me want to cry, then find out who made him cry, and make them cry too! Its tough to listen to him sometimes because I can't help but get caught up in my feels the way he sings. He makes you believe his pain is/was real when he wrote the song. you become engrossed in the story and want to cry with him. I started thinking about someone who made me cry and hurt just like he is. Not many artists can bring me along to that level. Damn good.

I'm bi-racial, white mom, black dad. In the summer I'd go to my paternal grandma's house down in Louisiana. Chris' sound reminds me of sitting on my grannys porch in the late afternoon sipping on some sweet tea and she'd have her old records playing! He is more soul than he is country.
