No matter what city you travel to you will find a mall worth visiting, but this mall in Shenzhen blew our minds.
We went to China Wanda Plaza to see the world's longest indoor escalator but we ended up experiencing one of the best malls we've ever been to.

Stepping into China’s malls is like stepping into a futuristic spaceship 100 years from now! Stepping into American malls is like stepping into a homeless shelter or an abandoned business park!
I live in US and been to China multiple times, there's place in US are still ok but in most major cities center, yeah, it's pretty run down. Otherwise true.

More like a combination of an exhibition hall, a theme park, a shopping center, and a back to future show site. Just amazing.
I'd much rather live in Shenzhen, China than Kentucky, West Virginia, or Mississippi.

When I lived in Shanghai, I was always blown away by the huge shopping malls are! You never know what's you'll find inside! Tennis court? Swimming pool?

As a Hongkonger, I've been to this exact Wanda mall like 5 times already to play VR and the huge indoor futuristic sports arcade that's right on top of that escalator. Funny to see it featured by you guys too😂 Had no idea it was the world's longest indoor escalator haha.

That shopping mall is an adventure. Its a beautiful looking mall, i think the other mall you mentioned in Chengdu looks evenv nicer.

If the escalator is in the US, it would be closed for service half the time

In San Francisco, our malls are tiny in comparisons and boring. All of them are guarded by securities with guns. Any mall in China guarded by guns?
i have never been to China but i can guarantee you that that is not the case. its one of the safest countries in the world you dont have to be afraid to get shot like in the US
