Howard Zane, Planning your Model Railroad. Build a mockup of it before you start!

Are you planning to build a model railroad? Are you ready to add an addition to your existing railroad? Building a 3-dimensional model or mockup of it before hand can be an invaluable tool in helping you visualize your dreams. Using commercially available computer and CAD model railroad planning programs are fine but taking the time to build a 3 dimensional to scale mockup allows you to fine tune you plans even further and is not that difficult to do.
