Actually, they are totally the same. It depends on the Karate style. Some styles call it "Syotei" and the others call "Teisyo". Syotei is much common. We use the same Kanji to write "Syotei" and "Teisyo". Syotei=掌底 Teisyo=底掌 I hope this answer helps you👍

We use the same Kanji to write "Syotei" and "Teisyo".

A quick question about karate conditioning... what about the use of a tetsutaba / iron beater?
That's no problem but be careful not to hurt yourself.

How long should I do this for please?
I think 10-minute is enough but you should do it every day.
Thank you for making this video! Between Covid and No Uechi dojo's where I live, do you have other self conditioning tips for the rest of the body?
Thank you so much for watching!!
I'll try to make the video about other conditioning.
Ow ow ow ow lol i use to do the grip one with a 15 pound weight
What I teach my Kung Fu students is when doing weights and it becomes easy, and boring then you move up to a heavier weight.
That's great!
15 pound is quite heavy!
Very clear and useful. Thank you Katoh sensei!
Thank you so much for watching!
Hope you liked my channel 👍
