I was so shocked that she commented that it was a no as it was too weird… That Kelly green top on her looked so bloody amazing on her and the sleeve was EVERYTHING!!…. Karen go back and get it 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
You have an incredible eye for fashion, Karen. Always inspiring. A word to the wise about ThredUp, tho' -- I placed a couple of orders with them and have mixed reviews. While a couple of items were as described, two were not acceptable. One scarf advertised as "silk" was actually acetate, and a vintage Coach handbag I purchased was SATURATED with cigarette smoke smell and was unable to be cleaned. Had I thrifted them in person I would have known right away that these were two items I would not have purchased. In person buying is best whenever possible, especially for second-hand goods.
I LOVE THRED UP 🥰 Not only are you saving the planet but also saving your dollars on that note Thred up allows you to chose what condition you want your purchases for instance "New with tags" and if you zoom in on the item front and back you can feel with your eyes I truly believe that one man's trash can be another man's treasure and that's what Thed up is treasure hunting 😉🙃
I love thredup; but I don't totally disagree with you. You have to really zoom in on the pieces when you see it described with "slight signs of wear" or something to that effect, and sometimes you still can't see issues... like broken zipper teeth.. that happened to me. I have also experienced inaccurate measurements i.e. inseams and EU to US sizing errors. I just returned a pair of slacks earlier this week for an inseam measurement that was off by 3 inches... 3 inches. To error is human. 85% or so of my purchases have been good and they are great about returns, in my experience.
@@marybeverly8268 I respectfully disagree. I could not "SEE" how disgusting that Coach bag REEKED of cigarette smoke, nor could I tell that the scarf I purchased was not silk based on the photo. I will not buy from them or any large online reseller again, since the sellers may/may not give accurate details.
@@jenh1216 If you're okay with returns, then I can't disagree with you. Where I live there are enough resellers, so I'll spend my time inspecting future thrifted purchases in person. Besides, I've also found local thrifting is better value for lower prices.

I LOVE THAT SKIRT!! THE CUT, THE COLOR!!!! (Idk why I'm yelling!😂😂) I have an H and M pleated skirt in the same color and I rock it with combat boots too!! I love the thrifting videos...it feels like we are right there with you😎 Keep 'em coming!♥️
I am soooo feeling the Sex and the City/Carrie-ish green skirt! Enjoyed this vid Karen! Thumbs up for another video like this one. I am a Thrift Girl too!
Please do more of these - especially great accessories places! I come to NYC to shop (I live in the DMV) and haven’t been back since COVID. I need some inspiration. Love you for this, Karen! Would love to know how much the black Birkin was!
Love these videos! Since you're taking your beautiful beaded baguette in for a repairs, have you ever taken your thrift finds to have them altered or repaired? I've walked away from purchases solely because they were either too complicated to fix myself, or I didn't know of a tailor capable of re-imagining it. I'd be interested in seeing the before/after! Thanks for taking us along!😘
Great video as always- can you do a video with tips/tricks for those of us who prefer to wear more "masculine" looks but want to keep them feminie at the same time? (ie- boots/jeans/button downs/sweaters/tweed often in typically masculine colors that are darker)..... I don't really like wearing heels or dresses, but want to feel stylish and sexy.
I love that green skirt. Gorgeous. I could see it with a corset. You would’ve been regretting if you left it behind. I also loved that Ralph Lauren striped item that was too small.
Love that emerald green skirt! I made one like that in emerald green taffeta with black netting years ago! I gave it away, but have always regretted it!. Love that snake belt! It would look amazing worn loosly with that gray knit dress! Great buys! Yes, this way a very fun video!
Love it when you take us thrifting!! You find fab stuff and love the try ons............this is the best you find kind of like the people you find on what are you wearing! :)
It is so inspiring to have someone like you Karen that I relate to 100%!! I dress very differently from my friends and love to disclose to many that my things are one of a kind...THRIFTED. I mixed my thrift stuff with department store clothes from elememtary school and still do the same thing TODAY in my 50s!! And, I have learned so much from you...men's shirts (YES, LOVE) blazers and coats are my favs to wear mostly with something feminine like a slip dress/skirt. ❤
Definitely keep the thrifting videos coming! I am a huge thrift shopper. I have a few of the vintage snake belts you purchased that I also wear as necklaces with low cut dresses/tops. They make a great conversation piece. Tell Michael "hello"
I had a purse that I adored ..unfortunately, almost adored it to death…it was very vintage and the snakeskin shoulder strap gave out like the one on your glorious beaded baguette. I kept my eyes open for a skinny belt of the right finish and color and finally I scored a fairly fresh one to replace the old strap. Now it’s fully renewed, and actively loved once more.
You are very inspiring. I am a man but some of the things that you pick are absolutely lovely and applicable, style wise, at times, for men. You seem a charming person, in a good way. Thank you for your channel and keep up the great work!
I think you should get Cobalt Blue Airforce Ones or Alexander McQueen sneakers, like the ones you saw in one of the “ What everyone is wearing…” episodes. They were fantastic!
Love more thrifting videos, it's all 8 watch on you tube. Your lucky the cour of the emerald green skirt is amazing but I could not get away with wearing it.
Fabulous video, as always and thank you for creating it. I loved the mustard skirt. Go back and get it! At that low price, if you decide eventually that it is not for you, you can always sell it at no loss. I really enjoy these videos, especially when you show the city! Thank you!
Love this video. Plan on visiting New York next spring and can’t wait to find some treasures. Thank you for sharing. I see I’m going to extend my days there.
I love the men cargo pants. That brown croc bag is beautiful. I remember those wedge sneakers 😂😂. Those red boot are sweet. That is a great skirt for the holidays, the color👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾

Karen, I actually like the green skirt and looking forward to you styling it up.
I loved it to. Makes you think of holiday with the right top pieces.
Cobalt blue and royal blue are my two favorite colors out of all the blue shades. Blue is my favorite color. I also love the long grey dress.
