600 bhp, a dog gearbox and control purely by skill and application. No automatic gearbox with buttons, ABS or traction control. A real car to be driven with respect by a real driver. I'm so glad I saw racing in the 1970s when it was indeed real.
You guys are incapable of just enjoying things huh? Always gotta say some shit like "no abs or traction control, no automatic, no electronics" just enjoy the fkn thing
@@streetfighter4006 I'm incapable of enjoying PRNDLs and driver aids so I exclusively watch historic racing. The ability to control traction by use of the right foot and brakes while heel and toeing was the mark of an exceptional driver. I couldn't count the number of races or positions lost by a missed gearshift so changing gear was an art-form. That's all been lost as has close racing due to over-reliance on aero and clean air rather than good suspension geometry and wide tyres imparting mechanical grip. So you go and like your handle enjoy your digital video racing and push-button stuff and I'll enjoy mine.
Oh, God, you're so lucky. I am 20 and I love classic race cars, especially group 4 prototypes and 60's Formula 1. It's so sad that we never see nothing close to this golden age again. And you're damn right, due to these lot of driving aids we will never have drivers like Clark, Fangio, Senna, Rodriguez, Andretti, Gourney and many others again.
Driver doesn't seem to be very familiar with it yet, the way the tail kept sliding about when he put the power down, and some of the gear changes seemed a bit suspect as well
It seems to be owned by Dutch historic racer David Hart. And, yes, maybe it's a shakedown test, and he probably haven't driven it much yet. I looked at his website, and the cars in his collection is making my hairs stand on end as I'm typing this...
I can tell that the driver is a very accomplished historic racer. It's just that the track is soaking wet and the car's on historic race tires. Even halfway down the straight it spins the tires. Waay to much power and no grip.
Amazing noise, some heroic driving in those conditions
What an incredible sound! 😍
The best content on YT. !
What a style, what a brutal, ominous, deep sound... that's some legendary stuff...
Great sounds from the old italian race car 🏎️🇮🇹 😍😍 🔊🎶🎵🎶🎵🎵🎵👂😇😇
Probably the finest sounding engine ever made I think
Amazing machine!!
0:45 this is my favorite because you get a close up of this amazing car, but still, BEST VIDEO EVER!!!!!!!!

this is some serious stuff
👍👍
It looks like a 917. And the best sounding would be the 333SP or the Ferrari FXX. Okay, the 787B Mazda sounds pretty fab.
seeing that beamer pass it was a sad sight because if it was dry would've be streaking past that
1:50 B I G BMW
Carporn!
Tricky conditions😅

Look at the conditions you can't exactly blame the guy
