Demo my 3rd most played class with about 3000 hours into the game, and i know damn well the vast majority of that time is just demoknight because i suck with the stickylauncher and pipes but yeah that just opened my eyes a lot.

rewatching this and remembering what you said in the extras video, if you had detonated at 8:00 it wouldn't have mattered and your team would have died to the Kritz Soldier anyway. As you said, if you're in range of your own trap the game calculates how many stickies it would take to kill just you, detonates those and breaks the rest, and since the Medic was too far back to be hit by the blast at all and the Soldier was overhealed and not right on the bombs, he would have survived anyway and dropped your team.

i once saw a video that proposed that lazypurples content is SO good, SO well made, and SO well produced that it has effectively raised the bar of expectations for the entire tf2uber community and i have to agree.
like i have watched these videos tens of times, and you just notice so many little details. even the first 30 seconds, you can see so much attention put into everything, from the facial expressions to the incredibly smooth animation, the way it slows down for a split second as the stickies are launched, adding suspense, then picking up to the insanely fast paced frantic action of an uber push.
idk i always get glad knowing i share a community with people like this. they use their love and passion (and EXTREME talent and patience) for the game to help others love and feel more passionate for it, it's awesome.

I'm pretty sure the TF2 mercs commit at least 5 Geneva violations every day. In other words, you'd be in about as much trouble as you would be normally.
We already got how to play pyro, the Geneva Convention has been long since cleared.
The Geneva Convention only applies to conventional warfare. The Gravel Wars are a Corporate war and a regulated one at that. The Geneva Convention doesn't apply.

Musket balls used to be soaked in feces and rotting corpses for the same reason- these "dirty shot" were known to cause secondary infections and gangrene on top of the bullet wound itself.
