A grocery store seems like it should be a relatively low risk security job too. Dealing with shoplifters, Karens, the occasional day drunk. Obviously all security work has risks, but it’s not like he was working protection or bouncing for a tough nightclub or even working bank security where you have to anticipate the chance of armed robbery.
Poor guy didn’t sign up to be in a warzone, he was just trying to work. But he faced a killer with bravery. Wish he didn’t have to :( RIP

I’m at the gun range twice a month, I train martial arts (Boxing, Judo, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, I wrestled in high school as well), so you would think that I’d have a super cop complex but I’m actually very laidback. So all of my coworkers know this about me, YET I prefer the, as you said, low risk posts/jobs of security. I can’t tell you how many security guards I have met who like to get into fights or are quick to reach for their guns over something so minor and stupid. Guards who complain about “boring posts” and wanting to be around action all the time. I’m like dude, are you fucking kidding me? I am not about to get into a fight with someone let alone a shootout, on behalf of a company that sees me as an expendable being and will NOT have my back in court, and also doesn’t pay me enough either. People hate security guards for a reason, because so many guards are police academy rejects who are on power trips that want to be in these ridiculous action movie type scenarios. But when it comes to situations like these where shit gets real, then these guards will freeze up. I know I rambled but my point is that I appreciate my life, the life of others, as well as my “boring low risk posts” that so many guards love to complain about, because you just never know when things can go left. That man was just making an honest living and it’s a damn shame.

The shooter is a self-proclaimed White Supremacist as stated in his manifesto. The shooter livestreamed his attack. On the first page he used the Symbol of the "Black Sun". The "Black Sun" symbol, is a hate symbol. This same symbol is used by the Nazi group The Azov Battalion in Ukraine. The shooter, goes over in detail what weapons he used and his gear, along with why he did the attack, and how he was going to carry it out. The attack is currently being investigated by law enforcement agencies as a terror attack and hate crime. The shooter is currently in custody.

It’s not like he was hurt or excluded by anyone and had nothing left to live for. He literally is just evil and this was a totally calculated and intentional event.
If you read his manifesto, he 100% believes with all his heart that he is in the right and is going to spark some kind of bloody national uprising against all non-whites who are “invading” “the white man’s land” (wouldn’t the natives have something to say about that?) by simply existing here (even, if not the ESPECIALLY children) and will be ultimately released and hailed as a hero for starting the revolution that “saved” humanity from non-whites after they are all exterminated or violently removed.
He was 110% cognizant and aware of exactly what the consequences of his actions would be, however has already created his own internal justifications for any scenario that plays out, clearly stating that if he DOESN’T get released and hailed as a hero within his lifetime - it’s not because everyone sees how utterly evil and dysfunctional of a creature he is but rather because he “failed to save his people” by not attacking sooner because it means the “enemies” have already taken over the system by being considered human beings.
He himself stated that he had a great life and childhood without any issues. The whole entire motive of his shooting WAS to inspire others to do the same in the name of pure hate. This is a different kind of cat entirely than your typical school shooter that gets pushed to their breaking point...
Well it was literally his life purpose. Young white men are groomed by older white men and encouraged to do shit like this. Many more are being groomed as we speak and I don’t know a solution myself seeing comments trying to jokingly justify it. Yea it’s a joke but every joke has a hidden meaning and it scares me.
I’m not sure if it was any of them or all of them. Peoples minds are hard to figure out and if we could read minds instead of clear thoughts it be a jumbled mess of thoughts overlapping each other.

As a security guard this really hurt my heart because most these places don’t get law enforcement because they don’t want to pay .. but security be in danger from banks to grocery stores & we have no benefits or protection.. most time when we do feel away about something our company tell us to leave it alone or you’ll lose your job 😪

Agreed. All of the teachers I know in K-12 education are seeing upticks in anger and aggression among kids and adults in classrooms and at meetings. I've seen an escalation in physical violence and hate crimes among kids at my own school, which has historically had low incidences of such situations. Unless meaningful change is made to tone down the divisive bitterness and prioritize mental health on a national scale, we're in for a bumpy ride.

This feels so much different when it hits close to home….. I was at that tops an hour before, had a conversation with the security guard in there, left and was on my way back to use the bathroom. Right before I got across the street I hear the shooting and take cover, I talked to the first victim right before this happened, I knew her from before. And she seemed to be having a rough day you can see in the video her head was down and she looked upset, it’s so heartbreaking her last moments on this earth was full of sorrow. When I saw the aftermath and she was on the ground I didn’t even realized it was her, I thought she was a male because of the angle and come to find out it was her, it’s hard for me to process this still. I easily could’ve been another number on the victims list. And it’s makes me so upset how he’s getting all this attention while the victims are swept under the rug and forgotten……………

I'm dead ass serious you fight fire with fire now the Democrats and the Republicans yeah I'm a moderate Republican but right now we're going to put that aside cuz what I'm about to say is true. Our government both sides Democrats and Republicans they're going to utilize this to cash in. One side is going to say we need to ban guns we need to get rid of the AR-15 blah blah blah and they're going to begin to divide us the other side's going to say fuck you we need to have more guns blah blah blah both sides are going to start generating mine for their causes nothing's going to change and to hell with us because the government doesn't care. How do I know this? Well let me enlighten you.. okay second Amendment ends with the words shall not be infringed okay? That is a federal law. There are over 2,000 firearm laws on the books in the United States every one of those goes against and breaks the federal law. Now over 2,000 laws on the books and over 80 years of all this legislation things have only gotten worse they've not gotten better even remotely at all every now and then for like maybe a year or half a year things get a bit of a lull they don't get better but they don't get worse. But for the most part big picture everything is much much fucking worse so therefore we know firearm legislation doesn't work. But we need to do something and we need to do it now we've needed this for a very long time. I'm fucking horrified when I'm not with my daughters because I don't know if something's going to happen to them and I worry about this shit all the fucking time. The only time I don't is that night when you're home with me I've got the alarm system on I know they're safe. Because if anybody comes in they know hit the deadbolts on their doors stay the fuck out of the hallways cuz Dad's coming out with the 590 to cut whoever is out there the fucking half and I will. Even out in public they know someone shoots hit the ground immediately and you stay there roll to cover whatever you got to do hide yourself as best you can but don't run hit the ground. Cuz there's bullets flying and I'm going to be one of them. I'm no hero and I know I'm not. Far from it. I never thought I'd have to carry a gun every fucking day everywhere I go and worry about you know hey is that person over there you know they're going to pull some shit or you know you see someone come in pushing a cart and there's like coats in the cart like makes you wonder are they covering up some weapons? That's the world we live in now though. It's terrible. And everyone wants to make it oh Democratic Republican anti-gun pro gun... Fuck that we need to unite and start taking care of this. Sorry for the swears it's how I talk. You know a lot of people on the program side that's the side that I'm on they're going to just be all about oh my God now we have to worry about our guns blah blah blah no they're not coming for them they never do and they're not going to so all of you throw two way people shut the fuck up about it they're never going to take all of our guns and that's that enough is enough. Now that that's out of the way.. to those that are anti-gun that are reading this you're never going to get them. So give it up. As an African American, I am happy to see the authorities reporting exactly what this was, EVIL.
