Wow! I'm shocked the Carver hasn't sold. I saw the video looked like a clean boat at a fair price. I have a place on the Chesapeake and BELIEVE ME! if I could convince the wife and daughter to sell I'd by your Carver in a heartbeat. Until then I'm out numbered. Love your adventures best of luck, calm seas, fair winds ,and good happy hours!
We took it off the market almost immediately because my son recommend we use it as a rental property in the city. Worked out great and turns a nice profit. However, the marina is not allowing anyone to sublet next year so we will probably be selling her.
@@tryingnottosink9107 if it's not to late, I would like know the website or the necessary information to rent the boat overnight. This could put a dollar or two in your pocket and MAYBE trick my beautiful wife and daughter into loving boating as much as I do.

Thanks for watching. We are glad you enjoy the videos! We are slow at editing and are currently in Key West. We will have enough footage for a year's worth of videos!
Great adventures. I really enjoy your videos and information. I’m new to yachting and you’re teaching me a lot. Keep up the great work and safe travels.
Hi Captain Ed, Captain Lane here Airplane Captain and former Irwin 45 Skipper. Norfolk is pronounced norfuck not Nor Folk you cant be afraid to say it. 🤣 I grew up in Chesapeake, Va and spent many days on the ICW from Hampton Roads to the Albemarle Sound. And South. It great to see you showing the area.Thank You, I now live in West Texas and I really enjoy your videos, I am living vicariously again sailing the very waters I use to ply via your videos. I think it is great that you have shared your adventures with so many others. I am certain that your approach to sailing has given inspiration to others to pursue the dream. Thank You, Capt. Lane
Thanks for watching. We are glad you enjoy the videos! The next time you us pass through I'll be sure to use the correct pronunciation. We have heard from quite a few people who decided to make the leap to boat ownership after watching our videos. It is very gratifying.
Been watching your journeys for some time we left FL west cost end of May Home port Hernando Beach heading to PA sitting in Elizabeth City NC are going to run the Dismal Swamp . Deer flies and horse flies real thick from Oriental down almost to Florida going to need them curtains
Maybe we'll stay outside on the way back!😁 We are worried about running the Swamp with a five foot draft. We are currently in Key West and will start heading home in a few day. But will take our time.
On your way back North ,instead of Coinjock, NC come up the Pasquotank river to Elizabeth City,NC. Then thru the Dismal Canal. I will buy ya”ll a good local beer and give you a tour on our pretty town. I am sure the local paper would write a story about your adventure. Edward
We would love to visit the "Harbor of Hospitality"but I hear our 5 foot draft is too much for the canal. We have watched a couple of videos of other larger boats having grounding issues and it looks risky for us.
Great adventures. I really enjoy your videos and information. I’m new to yachting and you’re teaching me a lot. Keep up the great work and safe travels." I’m amazed at how you guys as beginners just took to the waters and learned. Do you use a specific navigation app or program? How do you locate good Marina’s for overnight stays? Is it easy to navigate the ICW? How about radio communications to bridge tenders and Marina ‘s? This would make a great video. Again, Thanks for sharing your journey. Grant
very cool thanks...fyi when you were in deltaville when looking at marina to left is a old presidential yacht wraped in plastic named sequoia..pretty sure
Just curious when you went through the lock were you both holding ropes or was your wife just holding the Rope midships to keep the boat steady next to the lock wall
We both hold lines. I stay on the bow so that I can quickly get back to the lower helm, and Lyn takes the stern line. It is a lot easier than it seems.
I dunno, Ed. At night, out on the water, I'd like to have some concept of what's out there. I'm not a sailor, nor do I own a boat, but if I did, I'd want to have 'night vision.' About the only way to do that right now is FLIR. Raymarine, who is owned by FLIR, carries FLIR cameras. They carry the M232 FLIR camera, with remote operated pan and tilt. Plus, you can also get daylight camera operation, as well. Cost for the FLIR is about $3, 500, give or take. www.flir.com/products/m232/ When coupled with a Raymarine Axiom MFD, you also get the 'Clear Cruise' feature which tracks and alerts on objects in the water near you, meaning you'll miss bouys, other boats, and debris in the water, but will also help in seeing people in the water! If you don't have a modern day SONAR on your vessel, you could purchase an Axiom 7" display to control the FLIR, add 'Real Vision 3D' SONAR, and North American and Canadian charts for $1,250. So, all totaled, under $5K, which isn't really a bad price for the total security it would give you. Up the price to $1,600 for the display, and you can get the 9" display, which might be a little easier to see. It'll add $400 to the total cost.
Hi Guys you really need to get some Clear Tape on the broken windows for the time being to save what's left the AGE of the Boat was the Problem as the Sunlight makes the Plastic Brittle
Hey was wondering if your audio is working because every now and then there's a deep male voice can be heard thought you like to know keep up the great vlogs Txs...
We use it as a rental property in the city and play with it on weekends occasionally. Although we will probably be listing it for sale soon since our marina is not allowing rentals next year.
Hi, Captain ive ask this before and you missed it so asking again why do you always run with your ariels down all other Boats I see run with them up ??
I'm just guessing but, maybe for bridge clearance. They might also be a SSB antenna they are not using inshore. Those antennas will not work well at all when lowered like that.
I might be wrong, but I think they said in an earlier video that yeah they leave them down for bridge clearance. They feel like it's easier to put them up when they need them rather than put them down.
That is correct. We put them down for bridge clearance. With them down we have a 22 foot air draft and can get under most bridges. We find that the reception is still good up north when hailing bridges on channel 13 but down south, on channel 9 we need to be very close to the bridge.
Apparently you have not been to our "Porn Hub" channel! 😁 I try to edit videos. If the water is calm, we just go about ourselves like we would in a land house. Lyn will cook, listen to the news or radio. I will do some minor maintenance and research our next stops.
They have snap extenders, used package tape on both side of cracked isen glass
Did not know about snap extenders. We are thinking about buying equipment to make our own isinglass.

I always get it! Shared it with Lyn. Rachel got the Ribeye instead.
Short term you could get UV stabilized waterproof clear tape it will keep the weather out for now. Have a look on Amazon for night vision! 👍👍
That is the plan. We'll check out "night vision."
whats up with the tug cpt at 11:56 looks like he didnt care if he took you out?
Commercial vessels always have the right of way. Vessels traveling with the current have precedence, also.
Everyone wanted to get trough the bridge at the same time! It wasn't really that tight. It looks worse in fast speed.
