As Czech and patriot, I have always considered the question of whether Czechoslovakia should defend itself against Germany in 1938, when United Kingdom and France refused to help. In our current defeatist society, the prevailing opinion is that Germany would crush us in a few weeks, due to the numerical superiority of the German army. In fact, the situation at that time was not so hopeless. The German army only had 1,600,000 men, while Czechoslovak army had 1,200,000. So no big difference. The Germans had 2,400 tanks, while we only had 400. However, the vast majority of German tanks consisted of obsolete PzKpfw I. In addition, only half of them were functional. Not even PzKpfw II. with the 20 mm cannon did pose such a big threat to our vehicles. Our tanks, called LT 35, on the other hand, were considered the best in 1938. At the same time, they were all reliable and functional. And most importantly, they all had 37 mm cannons and radio communication unlike German vehicles at that time. Moreover, despite the numerical predominance of German tanks, no Blitzkrieg would take place, because most of the Czech border was formed by hills and mountains, unlike Poland, Denmark, the Benelux, northern France or western Soviet Union. It should be added that in 1938 only a tenth of the German artillery and German infantry were motorized. The Germans had 2,400 war planes, while we had only 1,500. At that time, however, most German planes were obsolete biplanes, and the vast majority of pilots were novices. In addition, the Germans had supplies of fuel, bombs and ammunition for two weeks, while we had for two months. Furthermore, the weather was also on our side - fog and rainy weather would prevent the Germans from effectively bombing our border fortifications. German General Bodenschatz estimated that when overcoming the Czechoslovak fortifications, the Wehrmacht would have to reckon with losses of about 60%. So Czechoslovakia had a numerically weaker army, but our men were perfectly armed and trained, and especially determined to defend their homeland to the last breath, just like the Finns in 1939. Although it is said that in the event of war, Poland and Hungary would attack us - that is just a myth. Hungarian regent Miklos Horthy was afraid of Romanian intervention - the Romanian army was much larger and stronger than the Hungarian. It even had dozens of our tanks LT 35. Plus King Carol II of Romania, at the time, sympathized much more with Czechoslovakia than with Germany. Although the Soviet Union had a non-aggression pact with Poland at the time, Stalin threatened to repeal the pact in the event of the Polish attack on Czechoslovakia. This would be also ideal opportunity for Stalin to reconquer Poland, which belonged to Russia 23 years ago - the Poles were aware of this risk, so they would most likely not attack us. Therefore, I am convinced that we would successfully defend ourselves and the German army would be exhausted by their attack. If Hitler did not make a truce with Czechoslovakia in this case, he would be in danger of being forcibly removed. Then, sooner or later, there would be a civil war in Germany - in 1938, only 60% of Germans trusted the NSDAP.
the Germans have 2.5 million men not 1.4 million, they had a plan if Czechoslovaks refused, Germans collaborated with Slovaks which 30 percent of Slovaks at the time openly supported. so even if Czechoslovakia refused it would have collapsed from the inside.

There's no reason Poland would get so much of the German eastern territories. The only reason the soviets gave it to them was because they took Poland's eastern territories, with Poland keepingg those there's no reason to expand the country to the west.
It’s happy to see both Poland and Lithuania united again. Long live the Polish Lithuanian Commonwealth. 🇵🇱 🇱🇹 🥳
It’s the perfect ending for both Poland and Lithuania as one nation and commonwealth. :) 🇵🇱 🇱🇹

The reason is that Poland won. Btw the Western Polish border was created by the Churchil and Roosevelt.
