IMO If you’re considering starting The Stormlight Archive, don’t. I’m on “day four” of book five W&T. That’s day idk in reality and I’m not going to finish it. At least go watch a couple critical reviews before you invest the time this series takes.
@TiffanyRussell I felt very mixed about it. I was confused by all the cosmere crossovers but I also think that is the point. I was ready for some major Mistborn conclusion and it fell so flat for me. But I loved getting to spend more time with my favorite characters and see them being more confident in their roles compared to the Way of Kings and Words of Radiance.
@ being happy to spend more time with characters I already liked is something I was definitely feeling, as well as wishing the ending had been a little more of an ending
@@TiffanyRussell Honestly, I was disgusted when I saw the excerpts promoting transgenderism. Then I saw his LGBT blog post on his website and DNFed two of his books. He built a fanbase of people who wanted clean, family friendly fantasy, and then totally alienated them.
I am about halfway through and.. idk I’m really not enjoying this one very much. I didn’t like the last one and this one has been even more frustrating for me. I think I’ll get through it but I might just try to listen to the rest.
I do like your review. Some people have really been over reactionary about this book. I haven’t loved it but I don’t think I’m the target audience for this book. Either way, I appreciate your honest, thoughtful review.
I have been waiting for this for days! I finished the book last week and couldn’t wait to hear your thoughts. And now I can’t wait for your spoiler review.

I'm part of the group of people that still has to start the stormlight archive, but would watch anything you publish anyway eheheh

Well, this book certainly "checked all the boxes."
For this book, that actually seems really positive, because I’m not sure it checked all the boxes for everyone

I totally agree that the Spiritual Realm History Flashbacks sequence was the weakest part of the book
@@ChloeFrizzle it just felt too quick and easy and gave them everything they needed
