- VERY local news from Southern Queensland, broadcast on 10-4-5A! Not 100% on whether it came from 10, 4 or 5A, but anyway, that's not the point! Enjoy rural news from 1986!
Kindly brought to you by the generosity of Flemishdog.
Excellent reception. Well done. It is great to see all this preserved. I wasn't able to see this channel here in Melbourne via DX, until it moved to Channel 0.
even back in 1986, Clive had absolutely no [expletive deleted] idea of how to run a city and he even had the temerity to back Snow Manners to become the first mayor of the newly amalgamated Toowoomba Region. I am so glad that that nightmare never came to pass, otherwise we would have been drinking recycled water.
The thing I find amusing about this is that you will still find people walking down Ruthven street wearing that suit.
Hard to believe that this bulletin was aired only 52 days after the Challenger disaster.
I was only 2 years old and was asleep in my bed in Kingsthorpe when this bulletin aired. Mum and Dad was probably watching this.
Interesting the story about the Qld film Corp…..35 years a later, films are being produced here and well, Moiveworld!
I remember watching this on good old channel 4 from my grandparents house at Cottonvale.....
Incredible. A local news program for Toowoomba is amazing enough. But is this a LATE news program? Wow. What the hell is the weather girl wearing!?
She still had to work on her wedding day....
Wow! A very young Chris Allen. Even at that tender age he seems to have been quite a professional reporter with confidence in his delivery, not unlike today.
The ONLY news opener using the Hello News theme...
+John Emmanuel Ramos In Australia.
A late night local news program?! Either they looked to America or Toowoomba asked for something more before they went to bed
12:07.....Its Rajiv Gandhi......
