Bro I was staying in a PG in Belapur. My rent was 10k. Where is your office? Try to take PG as close to the office as possible so that you reduce your travel time to a minimum, even if you pay a little higher rent. It goes a long way. I lived 900mtr away from my office.

You can always opt for a 1 bhk or 1 RK. But both will be costly as Mumbai is one of the costliest cities in the world
