Saw CVH early on in 2013 (in Boston) and then just now in AIDA at the Met. What a career trajectory. Terrific talent.

I read nasty TH-cam comments when TH-cam trolls have nothing better to do than criticize singers. I do not keep quiet. I feel it’s right to speak up against those trolls and defend these amazing artists.

The upper tier of opera singers need more people like these three.

I still want to see and hear Ms. Radvanovsky’s Violetta!

It's one of my goals to finally hear Sondra again live. I did once but as a youngster before her big fame (as Micaëla in Carmen at the Met).

Oh, heavens! So wonderful! I love all three of you so, so much! (Sondra: I'm going to send you a PM with a story about CVH!)

Thank you so much for this great interview! I would really love it if you could interview Joyce DiDonato. I’ve never heard two voices blend so well than when Sondra Radvanovsky performed Norma with her at the Met.

My experience with Norma was totally different. JdD could not be heard at least on opening night at the Met and from where we were seated. SR obliterated everybody else of course.

The operatic voice is meant to be heard in a big space. A lot of my opera singer friends don’t sound good on my tiny phone or tablet speaker!

So glad to see more about Christian. I had seen him in a few small roles, but my wife and I were blown away by his Mefistofele. I had seen Ramey, way before I was even married, and of course he was extraordinary. But van Horn is extraordinary too, in a different way. I wish the Met had recorded Mefistofele, instead of the hundredth Boheme.

Please indulge me in one last comment. The production itself was not good, but the singing from Radvanovsky, Thomas, Barton, and Van Horn was incredible.

I have to say I felt a slight sense of disappointment when he started talking about his wife and child. Well, maybe not slight😜.

Just had to laugh about the bad nights. Can I tell you something? Most people don’t even know. Ok, at the Met and La Scala they probably know, but I once saw Ryan McK in a Florida ‘Salome,’ and the poor guy simply lost his voice that day. I mean, no voice. And he got a huge ovation! Ok, he gave it his best shot, but the public didn’t have a clue.
