I've said it before singing is hard work. I had hoped to sing professionally one day but sadly I abused my voice. I was a Baritenor and studied at Boston University as well as New England Conservatory and with other private teachers. Not one teacher ever alluded to passagio work in my lessons. There are bad teachers out there in fact one of my teachers was known as the "Boston Strangler". I like Angela Meade's voice but she is obese and it will limit what roles she can sing. I'll never forget a concert at Tanglewood by a graduate student as she walked out you could hear the whispers but the minute she sang the first note we were all ensorcelled. Fuck is a noun, verb, adverb, preposition you get it. I marvel at those of you that have "made it" the amount of self sacrifice is incalculable. One of my teachers was so bitter as she never achieved the recognition that she thought she deserved.

Yeah, not only are singers and dancers affected by CV but thousands of professional orchestral players whose business is ensemble, blend/synchronicity -skills that can only be achieved by playing together regularly. As a professional musician I can whole-heartedly concur with the worldwide popular slogan: we’re all in this together.… but as George Harrison sang: All Things Must Pass.

13:54 baby gurl. Who told you that you were a lyric coloratura soprano? She is at best an underdeveloped soubrette. First things first, you speaking voice is too low to be a lyric coloratura soprano period. You also have a tremendous difficulty with high notes. You do not have ease.

Speaking voice is irrelevant to the voice type. It is all habits.

@screamingdivas @lisetteoropesa I just want to know why you specifically mentioned sizes 12 and 14? Is that really bad? I’ve lost 40!lbs in 4.5 months and still struggle to fit into a 16. I have some auditions coming up and now I’m really worried I haven’t lost enough! What sizes are most costumes?
