    This setup appears to be illegal, the samsung one connect cable is not UL rated for in wall runs, without a conduit (which I didn't see you install), or a separate in wall cable this will basically void the home owners warranty.

    This is embarrassing. Can't believe you'd actually mount a tv with drywall anchors. So unsafe. Please don't copy this method. Find studs. SMFH. Also you should mention that they shouldn't be running power into the wall to the one connect box as the wire is not in-wall rated, in some states it's a fire hazard. 🤦

    • @robre6840
      @robre6840 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      agree with you on the one connect wire its not in wall rated they should have used a recessed box and ran romex and a plug for the one connect box but as for using drywall anchors you can use the toggle type ones that lock into the back of the drywall they are rated for over 100lbs but your not able to get full 16 on center with the way the frame mounting brackets are designed some have 2 separate ones that you space accordingly based on the size frame you try get at least 2 screws in studs of each then use toggles on the corners that's more than sufficient for the frame its not overly heavy unit.

    As an electrician who also owns a tv mounting company, this is highly illegal.
    You need to run that one connect cable through a conduit especially if you’re mounting a tv over the fireplace.

    So does the cable line and power go into the black box? Do I understand that if I want to mount this above my fireplace I don't need cable or power behind it, only that cable that hooks to the box?

    No FN way do you hang a TV from drywall. Especially a 60 flat screen TV. Remind me not to have you hang my TV.

  • @house9850

    Just my opinion its way too low. Its not centered from the ceiling amd will not accommodate aftermarket frames which requires 3 inches extra on all sides.

  • @in2flying
    @in2flying 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Nice video. So question. In an application like this wouldn't you want a mount that you can tilt down 2-5 degrees? Can't imagine it being up that high that the viewing is optimal?

    • @Sanookdi
      @Sanookdi 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The no-gap flush mount can tilt down if needed.

    • @bricago2302
      @bricago2302 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I’ve installed this TV before, and it comes with two adjustable screw-in spacers that go in the lower mounting holes, for a non-flush mount option. This allows you to tilt it down.

    Could tv be damaged with the heat of the fire?

    • @DreamediaInstalls
      @DreamediaInstalls  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It could but the possibility is low. The mantle blocks heat and the "Chimney" is encased in metal.

    • @anibal2gmail
      @anibal2gmail 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DreamediaInstalls how about if you have a gas fireplace without a mantle? What do you think? I'm wanting to install the frame on top of my gas fireplace. The tv would hang right where the conduit for exhaust would go. If I don't pierce through the conduit in the wall, do you think it'll work fine?

    WRONG. I notice you didn’t show the pass thru at the bottom. Because you left a hole there. You should have ran romex to an existing plug or up thru the attic to an existing junction box. It’s amazing how you guys can get away with this. Definitely thumbs down
